I'd take that first half any day. The Suns still need to work on consistency and halftime adjustments, though.

Good game, given where the Suns are at with Shaq. Great first half, bad second half. That's actually improvement.
Now they need to get consistent and improve the half-court offense. Going to be tough with the schedule, but not a bad start against a good young Portland team that plays fairly big and rough in the paint and has nice guard play.
Oh, and I love the rebounding numbers with Shaq. Seems soooo much better on the offensive glass.

Barbosa again had two costly turnovers middle in the 4th and Amare rushed a little on several shots.
On Aldridge dunk over Amare, he pushed him away at the offensive rebound first. But the refs were trying everything to get the home team back into the game though.

Since Nash controlled the ball a lot more in the second halves, and teams seem to have well adapted to defending it. We didn't get comfortable spacing out of it like we used to in seasons gone by. We should do more simple low post offense and let Shaq touch the ball more to create space.

agreed. i posted my 2cents in the "nash quit sucking thread"
basically what you said, over-dribbling...causing the offense to stall.
and i wish he would quit leaving his man on D.
