When was the last time Kieff had two good games in a row?

He's been so inconsistent ever since entering the league, I do wonder when he's gonna actually figure it out.

I really like how Goodwin's been coming along. This is why I've been saying all season long that he should get playing time over Green.

He's improved a lot. This is why I've been saying all season long that he should get some time in the D League and that WHEN he's ready for the next step, he'll get his chance.

Hes been ready to play since the beginning of the season. That's why he himself nearly demanded a trade because he knew he deserves playing time.

Even now, Hornacek is only playing him because he has due to the trade. Otherwise we would still see Goodwin riding the pine.

I have posted the numbers numerous times, Goodwin's done well whenever given quality minutes going back to last season.

I've posted the numbers too. Goodwin has gotten the minutes when he played well.

Is that really true? Except for others being unavailable, when has he been included in the rotation (other than D League)?

Past 2 games the opponents have gone to the line more than us.

Inconsistent game by Markieff.

You dont shoot 30% when you're playing well every time you see the floor.

IMO he is clearly playing better in his more recent appearances than what we've seen before. A lot more selective in his attacks, rather than barreling towards the basket every time he touched the ball.

Yep. He is showing some maturity.

Yes it is. He logged 533 minutes last season in 52 games. Some of that came in mop-up minutes but early in the season he was seeing decent minutes, especially for a rookie that was drafted so low. He looked good in his first few games and then we started struggling whenever he was on the court so his minutes became more sporadic. He played great in a couple of games and when that happened the coach gave him extended minutes.

SF88 keeps trying to flip the script but Goodwin didn't play well because he got minutes, he got increased minutes in those particular games because he was playing so well. Granted, he wasn't given the leeway that someone like Green received. Green could stink it up in the 1st half and still get a chance to turn it around later in the game. Goodwin's second half minutes never came if he didn't play well in the first half. But that's life as a rookie.

I believe we had high hopes/expectations for him this season but then he laid an egg in summer league, a place where you would expect him to shine. Of late though, the guy has been working his butt off in the D League and by all reports he's taking direction and showing improvement in all areas. We're playing him now largely because of the trades but comments before and after the moves suggest they felt comfortable making certain trades because of how well he and the other young players performed in the D League.

I mentioned this earlier but the next test will come when the defense starts playing him for the drive instead of the shot. It will be interesting to see how he responds to increased defensive attention and it will also be interesting to see how the team handles it. Hopefully we're past the point where a bad half puts him on the bench the rest of the game (unless it's effort related). I'm also hopeful that he's made his last trip to the D League. I think he's learned what he needed to learn there.

I've enjoyed these past two games with Goodwin and Len getting good minutes more than I have most other games this season.

Sure we lost but I never thought we were actually gonna playoffs anyway.

If we continue giving them playing time, then yea these games will still be worth watching even without Dragic, IT and Ennis still on the team.

BTW what did you guys think of Brandon Knight? Hard to criticize him considering this is his first game without knowing any plays/teammates tendencies so lets just focus on the positives for now. I thought he looked controlled and didn't seem nervous or shook like a player that just got on a new team may look. One of the Bulls announcers even said in the first half that the Suns offense looked like it was being run more freely with Knight at PG as opposed to Bledsoe.

Good debut imo.

Bledsoe seems to be pressing way too hard though wonder if he is feeling pressure to take the team on his shoulder. He needs to slow down.

Where have you been? That's how Bledsoe has played all year. Are you just now starting to watch the games?
