Well, guess we'll have to settle for 81-1 :)

Our main problem has been the p-n-roll defense. Any team with a decent PG will cause us big trouble.

Shhhhh. Shaq is gone, that is not suppose to be the problem anymore. ;)

Actually, we really could have used Barbosa tonight. I am sure he could have gotten us more easy buckets and gotten off some 3's when we needed.

This game shows you how far below the first tier teams we really are. My gosh is that team deep. They are missing Lewis and Vince Carter. Orlando is so stacked it is sick.

The Suns to stay in games with teams like these need to be 100% healthy and be shooting lights out.

Well that sucked. :(

Hopefully we can be a lot more competitive against the Celtics. :)

very anticlimactic game, I was all excited as I'm a Suns fan who has lived long term in Orlando. Even without VC and Rashard, and with Dwight in foul trouble, Orlando ran us out of the building. Hell, Bass and White Chocolate were even laying highlights on us :(
Earl Clark looked pretty good though!

It shows very little. It was the second of a back to back after winning 4 in a row.

How do you figure? It was a back to back game for Orlando as well in which they played a very physical game to Detroit and lost. This was there 3rd game in 4 nights and had 2 of their biggest guns not in uniform. Sorry but a back to back is not an excuse and were worked.

This team is not even close to a Tier 1 playoff team like Orlando.

The pre-game show had a pretty good analysis of the new-look Suns. It's a guard-oriented offense, so without Shaq clogging the middle, it gives more room for Nash to operate.

Coach Gentry sat down with each player before the season started and told them each what their role will be. So people like Dudley/Lou/Barbs know exactly how they should contribute off the bench.

I know it's a back to back and Nash/Hill are older, but no excuse for JRich's performance.

Amare seem to do pretty well as the inside presence, but the Magic employed the Spurs defense; ie, stay with the shooters and let Amare get his points in the paint.

Huh? Has anyone said this is a title contending or even "first tier team"? I doubt it.

I know youre naturally a pessimistic guy but not everyone here likes to sit around and trash the suns all day. Obviously we know what we have, starting out 4-1 is better than what 99% of us wished for.
Losing to a team fresh off a finals appearance that clearly has a deeper bench than us...oh on a back to back night. Whats the problem?

You should get back to eating that "washed up nash" crow.. youve got about 77 more servings of that coming. Save some room for the dragic dessert that may be on the way as well.

Oh please.... The Spurs let Amare get hit points? What a joke he was guarded by Duncan and often double teamed.

Grant Hill and the others layed an egg last night that is all. Only Amare and Dudley showed up.

I didnt get to watch the game but saw dragic had a nice box score. Are the stats misleading?

Agreed. If I told you before the game that we would have zero points between Hill, Richardson, and LB, anyone would have predicted a blowout.

I highly doubt we are going to have many nights like that. There are all kinds of erroneous conclusions we could come to based upon one game, like: We can't win if Amare is the leading scorer/rebounder, Frye is the most important offensive weapon on this team, Hill is the key to our daily success, Orlando is better without Lewis etc. Its just one game. It will take 15 or 20 to really get a feel for where this team is.

Not misleading at all. Dragic was playing with confidence. There was no hesitation. Had a couple of nice drives to the hoop and a couple of long range jumpers. Played good D as well.

I think you may have missed the comment above where someone was saying this game is not a good comparison gauge between teams. The excuse was the back to back which is what I was commenting on. Gauging where this team is now compared to other teams in the NBA is not prohibited either as far as I know. It shows us how far we have to go.

Don't doubt it....just read it.

You should get back to eating that "washed up nash" crow.. youve got about 77 more servings of that coming. Save some room for the dragic dessert that may be on the way as well.

Show me where I said Nash was washed up? I said the same thing I have always said about Nash. He hurts us on defense as much as he helps us on offense. Nash is a great offensive talent and terrible defensive one. I have never wavered from that.

So..please chef joshstmarie...take your crow back to the kitchen as you have brought me the wrong meal.

In terms of Dragic, I stated that he had not shown me a thing up to this point (offseason or preseason) and was looking like a bust. Please explain how I am eating crow on a comment that was based on how he was playing at the time? That makes no sense. If you go back and read my comments I have also stated I had not completely given up on Dragic. The only player I am convinced that will never be a starting caliber player on a good team is Lopez.

Do you even read the forums cuase you are pulling lots out of thin air.

Why did he get more minutes than Nash?

That is just plain wrong.

His opposing points per against the man he is guarding last year disagrees with you. Statistically he has been one of the worst defensive PG in the league since joining the Suns.

I didn't even mention the TO's. Now factor in his league leading turnover totals last year that nullified many of his assists. Maybe he cuts down on turnovers this year because of the speed we are running but that won't make his defense any better.
