This game is way too reminiscent of D'Antoni ball. Fast paced, yet allowing 2nd chance points and committing unnecessary turnovers.

However, shooting over 70% can really hide all of those problems

I like that most of the shot attempts have been layups...not settling for the jumpshot in the 4th quarter.

Everyone on our bench is a good defensive player unlike our starters.:D

An easy victory on road is always good. Especially when all of our starters had light duty with just a little more than 20 minutes action. This road trip is pretty tough for us. Let's get a good result back home.

uh, awesome 2nd half performance.

sheesh, between this, the Cardinals blowout and what looks like an Obama blowout, it's been a disgustingly good 3 days.

My bad!;) Barbs is however such a great fair-weather player. He totally dominated in the 4th!:D

i've never heard the phrase "fair-weather player" before, but that is spot on when describing Barbs. plays well when it's going well, not going to get the team through any tough spots. nicely said

Just how bad are the Nets? Once the Suns stopped throwing the ball away in the second half, it was true domination. Amare had the most minutes on the team at 28.

Obviously the Suns are vastly better team when they can shoot the three. 31 assists reflects the far better ball movement than the team showed in the Hornet game but better three point defense was crucial. The Nets shot 7 of 22 three's compared to 13 of 24 by the Hornets.

Box scores can be deceptive. Based on stats, Lopez didn't do much: 1 rebound and only 1 of 4 shooting; but he played most of the fourth quarter and they held the Nets to 9 points. Overall he had 3 blocks in just under 20 minutes.

Clearly the Nets were unable to deal with Shaq (7 of 8) and Amare (6 of 9) AND their shooters: Nash 2 of 3 for three, Bell 6 of 6 for 3, Barnes 3 of 6 for three, and Barbosa 1 of 2 for three.

In the first three games the Suns backups did badly. Against the Blazers Hill was only 1 of 6. Tonight they did far better:

Hill 5 of 7 (4 assists)
Dragic 2 of 3 (2 assists
Barbosa 4 of 7 (4 assists)
Singletary 1 of 2 (1 assist in 4 minutes)
Diaw only 2 of 6 but had 6 rebounds and 2 assists

Wed's game looks to be a real challenge.

slow down granger and we win the game tomorrow. shouldn't be too hard at all. we can throw a bunch of defenders at him because we don't have to really pay a lot of attention to anyone else. not even o'neal anymore.

The Suns looked like the Suns of old offensively tonight. This was one of my most persistent concerns about the Suns as I figure the defense will eventually come around. TOs remain a problem. I'm amazed that Porter will play anyone on the bench at a given time. I like his flexibility.

yeah i like porter's flexibility too.

like in one of the previous games, he puts in admunson(sp?) and he goes and block 2 of outlaws shots back to back.

speaking of o'neal, i kinda missed who was traded to jermaine from toronto. was he a free agent? i can't find anything...

is it just me or was porter really experimenting and not focusing too much on winning? it seems we play different ball everytime for some reason (which is understandable, although i would appreciate a good cushion before all-star break)...

i like it that we were able to hold our leads so far in the season, too bad i never saw live games yet, all recorded...

Wow what a near flawless game for the suns everyone shot lights out great win and I really liked the way Hill helped out the 2nd unite while he was in the game. Also the productions by Dragic and Lopez were very nice if we get this kind of game from the 2nd unit we are goig to win a lot of games :). Glad we also got Nash some rest before the game later today gj suns way to destroy the nets
