I wonder what the ref's philosophy is? "We screwed up that last game, so we'll screw up the next one to make up for it?"

Refs were a little too one-sided in the 3rd to middle of 4th. Amare and Lou got smothered in the paint without calls.

Gentry may have reinserted Nash a little too late, but I'm fine with his confidence in Dragic. Had Nash nailed the open 3pt on a pass out of triple team by Amare, it'd have been 90:90 with 3 min to go, we might have turned it around. But aside from the TOs, we are on the right track with our game plans in general. Looking good for playoffs.

after watching this game and shakign my head at the amount of turnovers and missed layups Amare had, my first thought was he gets the blame for tonight... but he was a monster on the boards and blocked 4 shots... and really was the only guy who did anything out there tonight, so... i won't.

just a bad overall game by the club and even tho i'm loathe to put the refs into the equation, there were many a time tonight that I was shaking my head at them too.

jesus... always the dig at Nash, huh? You could say the same thing about Amare's missed layup with 4 to go that would have cut it to one... or you could have said had Amare actually gotten up and kept playing after he fell on that triple team, he EASILY would have been able to get the offensive rebound on Nash's shot.

plenty of blame to go around tonight. why am I not surprised to see the swipe at nash here.

Yup... and another bummer of an illustration that without Lopez, we are very well facing a one and done in the playoffs... :bang:

yeah... we might squeak out a first round victory if we get super hot from three, but without Sideshow Rob, our goose is cooked by round 2 at the latest.

Collins needs to be removed from starting lineup, i will gladly take Amundson although we become ver small upfront.
I hate SA so much that the thot of them losing at home to Memphis actually made me fee better about this game :)

So why doesn't Dwayne Jones get a shot? He was great at rebounding in the d-league and it's not like Collins is doing anything worthwhile.

That's a clutch shot what we normally expect from Nash. Not really blaming him, but rather pointing out the fact that it was the dividing moment late in the game. With great defense by Thunders, we rarely see many open shots. Partially, it's probably due to him still being cold for sitting so long. Partially, I was referring to his relative weakness at catch-and-shoot, which might hurt us in the playoffs in particular. He often seems to make the hard shots under pressure more often. But I like his general energy in the last two games. If he keeps it up, we have good hope for playoffs.

eh man bad loss tonight suns just looked tired.... I mean wtf was Frye thinking when he shot that airball late in the 4th qtr :(, also like mentioned before why not try to get a stop I mean sure we probally wouldn't have but atleast we would have had a shot at making the 3 to tie if we did get a stop.
Just a bad loss this late in the year when homecourt is at stake. Oh well great season for the suns no matter really how many predicted we would win 50 games this year? but bad loss we missed Lopez.

That game was an all around failure by the team. OKC did a good job of D, and they got a lot of good calls their way. We lost the game with TO's and failed execution on offense.

TO is the primary reason the team lost tonight and Collins kills our offense without really adding any significance to the defense. If that dude starts in the PO we wont win a game, Gentry needs to try the new guy nobody can be worse than Collin's right now.
It is looking more and more like the last game with Utah is going to decide who gets to be number 4.

Given the fact the refs basically handed the game to the Thunder, we did a nice job hanging in there and we didn't even shoot our best. Off night. Dragic played well though and you like to see that.

If D'antoni was coaching, Dragic would still be a super scrub.

Well, Dragic can shoot, so I think D'Antoni would have found a way to use him. And he generally goes out of his way to play small guys, like when he used to put Marcus Banks at SF. But we can be sure that Lopez wouldn't be doing anything, and Amundson would probably be ignored also.

Dragic's problem is a low bball IQ for the PG position, he gets out of control easily or doesn't recognize play situations very well.

fixed it for you.

i think goran is coming around and is handling the role okay, like he did last night and the game before(the enitre 4th).

can we just not play barbosa? maybe only in blow out situations?:(

probably? We wouldn't even know who Amundson was. We'd probably think he was the dunking version of that bald three point bricking freak Pat Burke... or whatever the hell his name was.

If we resign Amare, I will actually look forward to next season for the first time in about three years. Looking forward to the progress of Lopez, Dragic and Clark to go along with our vets.

I disagree. I believe Dragic is better than Nash in his 2nd year. With experience, Dragic would be better too.

Wow bold statement. Highly unlikely Dragic will ever evolve into Nash but Dragic could become a lockdown defender with pretty decent offensive skills.

Barbosa is excellent at only one type of play, fastbreak finishing with not that many people on that side. That's why the Spurs shut him down. He is garbage in a half-court set and his speed is a waste when the defense collapses on him. Since the Suns aren't running the break like they used to throwing up any shot they please, Barbosa has fewer options when coming off the bench now because Dragic's offense is to dribble the time a little and then penetrate to the hoop himself. Barbosa is just a bystander when he comes on the court now.
