The players you mentioned above were never supposed to be the dominant big man or the franchise player. Amare was supposed to be that player. He had a good game tonight, however, he needs to compete with the big boys inside every game including rebounding.

If nothing else, this game and last just proved that he could step up his game if he felt like it. He normally steps up his game in playoffs, at time our only reliable offense when Nash gets neutralized which happens against every good team we play.

this game against the worst team in the league with no big man presence proved he can step it up when he wants to? or his 5 rebounds and pretty pathetic play on defense against a team with no big man presence proved he can step it up when he wants to? that's laughable.

He normally steps up his game in playoffs, at time our only reliable offense when Nash gets neutralized which happens against every good team we play.

you live in the past. Two years ago he stepped up AND OUT of the playoffs, getting kicked out of the biggest game of the year and then last year, in the biggest game of the year, again, he fouled out on an idiotic play and then disappeared for the rest of the series.

people need to stop living in 2004-5 when Amare was literally the second most athletic player in the league and could do whatever he wanted.

That one dunk where he just hammered it was Shaqtastic. Amare also had a couple up and under moves that surprised me. Also, glad to see Barbs back.
