Saw him disembark a flight once and without thinking just blurted out “DETLEF SHREMPF!” way too loud. He heard me and kinda awkwardly acknowledged me. I mean, you just have to say his name out loud when you see him.

No cam? I chalk this up to loss. Maybe monty shouldn’t play Ayton this game bc I’m not so certain they won’t just take the remaining manhood he has.

This also might be a perfect game to see if he has what it takes. Even with Mikal's resurgence, Ayton is the #1 option no question. But he was that also last game and he was awful. If he is sacrificing, as many here are saying, then this game is the best time to let go of the chains and just let him go wild. See if he's really got what it takes and if sacrificing is really a viable excuse for his play.

I actually think Peja is better. Detlef had a back to the basket game that was killer that Cam doesn’t.

But even then, both of those guys had two inches on Cam. And I think Cam is a sneak good athlete better than those two.

Tough to say who he reminds me of, this might be off a bit but his set shot is like a Kyle Korver in that it’s got a high percentage of going in. CJ has the smoothing looking shot, maybe ever?

Then his dribbling/attacking game is like a Peja/Schremph game, not utterly smooth but fundamental.

Booker would get called for an offensive foul pretty much every time on that same move.

Exactly. Almost every player but a chosen few would be guilty of an offensive foul on that play.

This is what Randle did to Cam Johnson the other night... lowering the shoulder.

Either the referees call the fouls both ways or tell the teams they are going to be spectators.

Not NEARLY as egregious as what Randle did, especially the first time he did it.

I think Refs swallow their whistles in those cases. You HAVE to stay up as a defender. They won't give you that call.

Yeah... that’s not egregious at all. He didn’t totally lower his shoulder nor extend his arm. Looked more like a flop by the Miami defender than anything else.

Would have been more excited for this game if Cam was playing but I’m curious to see if Ayton continues his listless play on D and if Monty does anything about it.

If a message needs to be sent (like last season post All-Star break), this might be a game to do it if Ayton sleepwalks again considering its most likely an L anyway.
