This is what we need to do. Ayton CAN punish this team.
in what universe does 8 points at the half = Ayton is on pace for 20? That’s basic math you’re off on.
but the play to start the half... THATS what Ayton can and needs to do.
Also, you realize Chris Paul was yelling at Ayton in the first quarter because of how listless he was. You realize that happens on a regular basis?
I just want to see him play HARD. That’s not asking for Giannis. No matter how much you want to make excuses for him. Expectations for the first pick in the draft to have taken a big step forward in his third year as opposed to backward, playing with the best PG in the league isn’t too much too ask.
look, I’m not at all saying I am happy with how Ayton is playing.
I just have realistic expectations for him. You seem to think he should be playing like an MVP candidate.
Seriously? “Decent?”I think they look decent actually. They are forcing a lot of turnovers, just not shooting very well.
Seriously? “Decent?”
you’re talking to someone who equates asking Ayton merely to play hard to being an MVP candidate.
This isn’t as much of a stretch as it should be, when I say that success for this team has now fallen on the shoulders of Paul and Book. If they don’t play at an all star level, we have virtually no chance of a win...

So like I said, if those two are playing at an all star level, we have virtually ZERO chance of winning...Not a fan of Booker ball.
also, CP3 hasn’t made much of an impact tonight.
Ugh... and again, we don’t close the last two minutes of the quarter.
What you have described you want ayton to do is well beyond ayton playing hard.
He is playing hard, he’s just not playing smart.

I’m at the point now where I wouldn’t be surprised at all if this team misses the post season.
And even if we somehow squeak in, we’re a certain one and done...
Can’t rely so heavily on just two guys and expect sustained success...
that’s not what I see out there when he loafs on rotations.
lol... “well beyond” Ayton playing hard. You remember he’s not a G-league guy, right? You do know he does possess pretty incredible natural talent, right?
