Oubre with the steal and layup +1.

When Ayton gets the ball in space like... 16 feet out like he did, he needs to start barrelling towards the rim, don't settle for a long jumper, he has the quickness and dribbling ability to force them to foul him or give him a free dunk.
If only the Suns had a Power Forward who could fulfill that role with
Ayton on the floor. Whether Saric has good games or bad games,
he is just not a fit in the starting lineup.

Unfortunately, neither is Kaminsky. We need a PF to complement
Ayton's game. Team balance!

I know I'll get blasted for this, but Ayton just doesn't have it. He is so ******** tentative and not forceful. He's coming back from a 25 game suspension and should be jacked up. He's just floating around, not crashing the boards, or battling for position. So disappointing. I wanted to see an animal out there tonight.

Years ago there was a fake SNL commercial where John Belushi was an Olympic athlete.

The way Ty Jerome moves reminds me of that.

Playing in a game and practice are two different things. He needs time to get up to speed. I heard awhile back it could take up to 10 games.

He's picking up where he left off. Saying the right things in interviews,
but not backing them up with action.

Move him to Power Forward and get a role-playing starting Center.
Especially since Ayton's height is now officially listed as 6'11". :)

Suns need someone else other than Oubre (12) and Ayton (8).

No harm no foul when Clippers foul.

This is by far the biggest issue with this team. It's ONLY Booker, Ayton and Oubre as possible scorers. And when one of them is out, there is literally nobody else who can step up and score the ball.
If Booker were playing tonight, it would help... but, I still think this team desperately needs a legit PF or back-up SG who can score the damn ball!

At some point I think we need to realize that right now Ayton is not who we want him to be. In the present and relative future he just isn’t going to be a down low banger and a defensive monster in the paint. As soon as we move on from that wish we might be able to better appreciate what he is... a highly skilled big man who is still really raw.

Additional shooting is something the Suns could really use or someone who can score inside when the shots are not falling.

Halftime:

Clippers 54 - Suns 44

Good half by Oubre with 14 points.

Ayton had 10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a block.

We drafted a Power Forward. For whatever reason, that was his experience.

I question the phrase "right now". He just might never be a down low banger
and a defensive monster in the paint.

Ayton did spend a lot of time standing around on the outside upon his return.
His 10/6 stats didn't make a difference in the score for the 1st half.

First half 10/6/3/1/1 and he’s working himself back into the team. He’s fine, guys. Chill.
Much better line than I thought he had just watching the game. Good stat line for his first half back.
