As far as I can remember, Eric and I were the only two people here who never bought into this nonsense. BC may have been the third one, but I am not sure about that. Everyone else was all about the two PG thing.
Can't freaking believe it took this long for people to wake up.
I was adamant about not re-signing Bledsoe, not just because of how many games he missed last season, but for his neutralizing Dragic, who rose to a new level without sharing the position. It seemed so obvious that it was not the way to build a strong team.
My concern about the Suns lack of respect for balance goes back to Amar'e as our only big man on the court, ruining his health and his career.
Actually, it goes back to the decade of 212 lb. Alvan Adams at Center leaving our Power Forward as the only big man on the court, thus neutralizing him. It was no surprise that our prototype Power Forward Maurice Lucas wanted out.
For the past two seasons, the idea of two, then three Point Guards on the court at the same time brought lack of balance to a whole new level of ignorance of what it takes to dominate.
It even sounds stupid just to say it. The idea of two or three Point Guards on the court at the same time.
Time to change our name to the PHOENIX NOVELTY. And we are stuck with it.
We were tied with the Clippers at half-time. When we were down by 22 in the 3rd quarter, Steve Albert actually said to Ann Meyers Drysdale, "Annie, what happened?" Duh, Steve, maybe you should keep your eyes on the court. (Yes, I didn't mute the TV sound because of that irritating 5-second delay.)
