This is the problem with submitting the players and positions before the season even begins. Clearly Amare Stoudemire is playing center, and whether we like it or not he's likely going to stay at that position.

BTW many of us, including myself, have been saying that the Suns need a center who can block shots and knockdown a midrange jump shot. While that may be the ideal solution another solution would be for the Suns to pick up a defensive minded power forward (preferably not undersized) who can knockdown that shot. I know after the New Orleans games many of us were talking about how nicely P.J. Brown would fit in on this team. I'm not suggesting the Suns make a trade for P.J. Brown, but that's the type of player (maybe more athletic) that would be a good fit because they center is so hard to find.

this is one reason why i am a little surprized that vroman isnt getting more playing time. we saw him playing very well earlier and he is just this type of player so it comes as a shock that we havent seen him more.

The main thing a big man has to do is be a better rebounder and defender than Q. He is 6'5" but gets 6.4 rpg and 1.64 steals in 35 minutes a game. This is not overwhelming, but Jake's rebounding has not been impressive.

he has done almost nothing to impress me. I would rather see Lampe get the time because of his size and more importantly his shooting ability.

How many forwards get chosen?

Definites will be

KG
TD
Dirk
Amare

Right now Shawn is playing with Andre, so it would be hard to choose one over the other. My guess is Andre would get it simply because he is the main man in utah, and they have a great record as well.

Hold the phone there on Dirk - he went down with a bad ankle sprain and could miss some serious time...

I heard Al McCoy introducing our starting lineup on radio a few games ago.

After Marion and Q as Forwards, he announced Amare as "the other big man".

Apparently, he's gotten the word to not refer to Amare as "Center".

Yeah, when they showed our starting lineup on TV they've got 2 guards and 3 forwards. Although some games have had Amare as a Center.

If it is the local TV 45 they don't put Amare at C if it is on ASFN ESPN they put Amare at C.
