I am a way better Cardinal fan than I am a Sun fan. No question. Donald is the same way. Maybe moreso.

It's reasonable that fans react differently to each sport (football and basketball) because of many factors. Certainly in basketball many more games are played and I believe owning tickets for a season of basketball is more expensive than season tickets in football. Thus, the fans in basketball tend to be more elite (more sedate) because of the money factor. Anyway there are way different atmospheres. For example, I don't see any tailgating for basketball games.

The bottom line is I'm a fan of both the Cardinals and the Suns. However, I prefer the Suns because I grew up watching them.

People constantly tell you to sit down during the game, to be quiet, and don't pay attention to the court.

Gotta love having people get the ushers to tell you to sit down and be quiet as the entertaiment crew is emploring people to stand up and make noise. I haven't been to a game in 2 1/2 years even when being offered free tickets.

I don't think you can compare the two sports. The circumstances are different.

NFL games are only once a week, and for the most part on a Sunday afternoon, a day off for most people, when they have time to sleep in, get motivated, plan for and make a day of the event; eat, drink, and be rowdy; and embrace the violent nature of the sport with an equal fanatic response.

NBA games are mostly at night, and during the week when most people have had to work that day and/or have to work the next day. The fans are more tired and subdued, and not in a weekend mode. There isn't the focus on making the game an "event", thus less eating and drinking. Also, each individual basketball game also has less importance to the overall season since they play so many games.

The more practical discussion would be whether NBA fans are better than baseball fans. I'm pretty sure Suns fans are more prominent than D-Back fans are.

No comparison... US Airways Arena is like a graveyard at night (exaggerating, of course). Cardinals fans rock!

This is so sad, a NFL game should always be louder than a regular season basketball game. With that said, Cardinal fans are bandwagon, like any other team that would find their way for the first time in centuries atop a very weak division that was once belonged to a now very injured team. The more wins, the more fans, the more cheers. This is useless. Anyone remember what it was like before that Glendale Stadium was built? Yeah....

Suns fans > Cardinals anything.

yeah sure, ive been bleeding red for a loooooong time buddy.

Either way, it is in the fan, I cheer as loud at suns games as i do for cardinal games
