The bench held the lead so Nash did not have to come back in the game.
For our offense to click, it looks like . . . as goes MVSteve, so will go the Suns.

The good news is that his rib must have been feeling better vs. the Blazers.

The bad news is that he will have aches, pains and fatigue throughout the season at his age.

That seems to be the reality of it.

I'll take a win any day of the week but the fly in the ointment... backup PGs Price and Telfair combine for a total of 1 point and 5 assists and those stats belong to Price. The good news is, and I believe is important, they did not turn the ball over. Telfair is looking like a poor addition and making me miss Dowdell all the more.

Also it sure helps when the Suns shoot well and the opposition shoots poorly.

It was a well-played game and a solid win against a tough, albeit tired, opponent. The offense definitely looked better and a big part of that was not settling for outside jumpers. Without Nash the offense still struggled, but at least they weren't getting outscored. Rebounding continues to be a problem, even though the Blazers failed to capitalize on extra shot attempts.

Telfair is already blaming his poor performance on lack of consistent playing time:
"I feel I could be helping the team if I was getting the backup minutes consistently for what I could bring, especially offensively,"
There's obviously a reason why this guy couldn't cut it with any of the previous teams he was on. Unfortunately for the Suns, Price isn't doing much better. Both lack the ability to read the defense and find open shooters, cutters, or execute pick-and-rolls, which is basically our entire offensive repertoire. But this is not a new problem obviously.

The Suns basically knew what they were getting for Price and he was basically an afterthought after the injury to Dowdell. I like Price as a third PG because he plays hard. There must be a better PG out there that plays better than Telfair. I was sort of hoping the Suns would look at Nate Robinson when he was available.

I like Ronnie Price better than Telfair.
