Morant is on a huge heater right now. Looking like a true MVP contender. Do the suns dare put Dunn and TyTy on him again to try and slow him down? Anything less than 40 points by Morant is a good effort right now.

i wish we knew why players got budnished - is it performance based or mouth based? do they say the wrong thing? because that's what it's beginning to feel like - not a basketball decision but a personal one

At this point, I feel only 75 percent certain the Suns will not make the playoffs. The recent victories have showed a certain amount of fight. It's not clearly enough, but perhaps these players are ready to quit screwing around. Exactly at the last second. If they won the play-in and made the playoffs, my hypothetical dilemma would be no longer hypothetical: should I feel obligated to support them after they jerked everyone around this season?

The best compromise would then be: demanding the Suns get as least as far as the conference finals before I take them seriously. If they just get bounced in round one or two again, all they've done is run in place from where they were the last two seasons, and have wasted my time.

Bradley Beal (left calf injury management) is out for tonight's game against the Grizzlies. Monte Morris (low back injury management) has been upgraded to doubtful, while Cody Martin (G League assignment) and Jalen Bridges (two-way) remain out

Wouldn't their opponent in round 1 be OKC? There is no chance in hell the Suns could beat them once let alone a whole series.

Did you, perchance, also say that in 1994 about the Denver Nougats and the Seattle Supersonics? (who, interestingly, the Blunder used to be)? And did you pick Mike Tyson to resoundingly defeat Buster Douglas circa 1990?

I actually picked Buster Douglas. I wanted my Dad to place a bet for me. He didn't because he didn't want me to lose my money.

Since many observers think Tyus Jones is playing terribly this season but Collin Gillespie has played well whenever called on, and reportedly has shown desperately needed leadership in the locker room, Gillespie should get Jones' minutes.

lol at many observers and lol at gillespie should be getting tyus' minutes - they're both on one year contracts - start tyus and then play the hot hand

I don't know what that pass to Durant was all about.

Memphis' Collin Gillespie aka Cam Spencer put up 11 points, which closed the gap for Memphis.

Huff has been killing us. They need to keep driving on this guy and get him in foul trouble.
