If we can figure out how to play some D tonight, we should be all right. But so far not many stops by the Suns.

Suns bench is more fun than the starters now.

It's kind of strange. Because I the vast majority of NBA basketball games I watch are Suns games, I have a pretty low opinion of so many perimeter players in the league. But now that Grant Hill is injured, I am finding out that some of the guys I consider to be overrated are just players who Grant Hill has made look bad.

With regards to the Shannon Brown v. Grant Hill in the starting lineup debate, Shannon Brown is making a great case for himself tonight. I think he's making a better case for Grant Hill, though. Rudy Gay has 26 after 3 quarters, and it's not as if Brown has played particularly bad defense or that Gay has played particularly well. But the reason that Grant Hill is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league is because he's so terrific at making players ineffective. He's kind of like the single-player equivalent of an engaged San Antonio Spurs defense: there's not really any one trait that particularly stands out that makes the team so great at getting stops, but time and time again, they manage to do it.

Bad decision from Gentry to bring the starters back in during the 4th quarter. :(

The bench had it, the starters were lethargic/lackluster.

Isn't this game VERY identical to the Nuggets game we lost last week?

Losing all game, bench brings us back in, Gentry STILL goes back to the starters instead of riding the hot hand and Suns lose.

Stupid Houston is gonna lose today too or else they could have just won today increased their lead on the Suns so I don't have to get my hopes up about making the playoffs! Ugh!

If you look at the +/-, clearly our starters sucked big time, mostly on the defensive end, and the bench more than held its own, even though Redd didn't get it going tonight.

I think Nash had 9 assists at the half, and he finished with 10, and 7 turnovers, with 4-10 shooting from the field. Not the kind of performance I was expecting from Nash in such a big game.

No one else really stepped for the Suns, except for JChill who had 10, all in the layup drill that was the first half.

What is it that you particularly love about his play? For me, I guess it would be the way he challenges me to not throw things at my television, or to berate people who say things positive about him while his blown defensive assignments cause the Suns to get into scrambling situations that cost us games?

Like Steve Nash, he makes players around him better. I guess the major difference between the two is that Nash makes his teammates better.

That's a bit harsh. MM is a rook, did you see him lead the team in scoring the other night? He was a good pick and is coming along fine. Tonight he had 17 points on 7-12 shooting, not too shabby.
