Yep, im 35 and have been watching suns since i was 8 and this is by far the worst experience

nurk might be slower than my ex-wife and even less trust worthy but homie can rebound

ive mentioned oso needing to work on his boards but dunn... when he gets locked in on a defensive assignment like trae young he doesn't do the dennis rodman thing trying to get every ball - partly because he's locked in and partly to stay out of foul trouble

so we need to rebound by committee but that mindset only seems to stick for a game or two at most - then we see bench players coming down with 20+ rebounds making the game incredibly difficult

we should've won this game tonight but we didn't want the ball enough

Nurk is better than Plumlee but he tries to do too much. If he dedicated himself more to being an interior beast I think he'd be a good Center. Instead he tries and roll too much and shoot from outside like Vucevic and Valencunis but he doesn't have their touch.

We need Nurkic now though because giving up 20+ boards to someone like Okenganwu is ridiculous when we just gave up 20 to Nick Richards the other night.

I've got 30 years invested watching and would like a championship but I'd settle with strong teamwork. If we come up short but play our best, so be it. The Nash years were great because they left it all on the court. We didn't get any breaks and didn't win a title but I was never disappointed with that team that played like they care. This team these last 2-3 years has been excruciating to watch.

However, the reason the Suns lost is they didn't put in enough effort to rebound.

jimmy butler averages 5 rebounds a game - book and kd just dropped 30+ each tonight - we scored tonight no problemo - but when we run the rookies at the same time the rebounds suffer - it's just the way it is

it's nice having them out there - the defense - the random unpredictability on offense - overall vibe - but bud needs to get this fixed if we're going nurkless

Do the suns EVER get a long rebound?

What are you limiting your query to long rebounds. They can't get a rebound of any type. Short, medium, long, it doesn't matter if you don't have the desire to track it down. The other team is just going to keep shooting until they score because this damn team can't get a defensive rebound to save their lives.
