The magic number is 5. 5 more wins or we will have the worst record in NBA history. The team needs to only focus on that and treat every game like it is their last.

Not true. The Sixers' 9-73 is the worst record in NBA history for an 82 game season. I think the Charlotte franchise had an even worse winning percentage in a lockout-shortened season.

I think you might have meant worst record in franchise history.

they're not. worst team in NBA history was 9-72 1972 Sixers and 2009 Nets going 12-70 and others so unless we're so bad the league is going to start taking wins away from us, we're luckily firewalled from that rather dubious record.

If they win 5 more they might fall behind the Bulls Knicks and Cavs to the 4th spot. 12.5% vs 14%?

This is disappointing. I really believed that they had turned the corner after the 4 game winning streak.

Has a team with less than 20 wins total ever had a 4 game winning streak?

I went through Dudley's twitter feed and read some of his thoughts.

He basically says that the Suns suck because their are literally no vets 25 or older. You just can't win with so many young players.

They have a bunch of old turds and they still lost.

That is the problem. Too young or too old. No in between mid-career veterans.

Young and old may balance out to in the middle. But player by player, they do not.

That seems to be the Suns ongoing theme. Three starting Point Guards or no starting Point Guards. Two rookie Power Forwards or no Power Forwards.

It is like a guy standing with one foot in a bucket of dry ice and the other in boiling water. On average, statistically he is pretty comfortable. :)

Yes. It's something I've been saying for several months now. It's not just the abundance of youth, it's the absence of impact mid-career veterans. We've never seen a roster constructed like this although the 10 win 76ers from a few years ago came awfully close. Which explains their record just like it does ours.

I don't know what Dudley's problem is. He hasn't been an NBA-level player for several years, yet he's constantly flapping his lips like he's some sort of expert. Maybe he's angling for a coaching career, but he's stupidly alienating everyone in the process.

Wow did anyone else notice Crawford and Wade playing against each other? Put some throw back jerseys on them. Props to Troy Daniels for keeping the Suns in the game.

So just to clarify the worst record ever posted by the suns was 16-66 in 1969. As of now we are 12-50. So 5 more games to avoid a tie with the worst franchise record in suns history. Common sense says that I should have known that wasn't the worst ever in the league but listened to the idiots on the radio without double checking so that's my fault. Not trying to spread false info. Anyway carry on...

I agree that youth is a contributing factor but keep in mind its Bookers 4th season, he is a max star level player, its TJ's 5th season and Ayton is the #1 pick. We also played Ariza big minutes. He is scoring 5 ppg more since the trade.

If we were on pace to win 30 games I'd agree with the youth excuse 100%.

I think combining youth with poor coaching, or a system that doesn't fit the players we have results in a 16 win season.

If there isn't significant improvement (winning percentage) over the last 20 games, now that we have a servicable PG, I don't see how the suns can roll the dice on being forced to fire Igor midway through next season.
