Love Al McCoy. He used to be the commentator when I first started watching the Suns back when they had KJ and traded for Charles. I don't mind Leander that much. Granted, he has some really silly catch phrases in his repertoire that can be annoying, but he's also very likeable and I'm surprised to say I'm a little sad to see him go.

I hope EJ stays on as expert commentator. EJ rules. He overdoes "when all is said and done", but other than that he's fine. Not too high on Scott Williams. He seems like a great guy but he's not the best commentator I've heard.

I think the thing that bothers me most about Leander is that he's a shameless homer. I mean I want the hometown commentators to be a little biased, but Leander is too much. Talking mostly about the officiating.

Tim Kempton is the worst homer announcer I've ever heard. He gets so mad every time a call goes against the Suns.

Oh happy day. I cannot stand Leander. I'm sure he works hard, and is a nice guy and all, but play by play was not his thing. He did not have the "voice" for the job, and I often found myself cringing at his commentary, cheeseball nicknames, and horrible catchphrases. I am excited for the change.

Hopefully he can pass to the new guy some of his catchphrase gems he has been working on in the offseason...

"HASHMARK... FACIAL!", "Gortat with the INSTAGRAM!", "RETWEET!!!"

I had no problem with Leander. However, I hope the new announcer does not make me feel like I'm at a boxing match with grandiose hyperbole.

"...And Luis Scola is down for the count!"

Scola tried to stagger to his feet and then fell back down. Lets look at the replay and see the blow that laid him out. :)

At this point, I would welcome that after hearing Leander for 9 years. I think he was just too much of a "fanboy" than a play by play guy. And like has been said, he tried too hard, and it came off bad on TV.

I have no doubt he works hard, and is prepared, but it just wasn't a good role for him.
