Whatever losses like this happens when you get killed on the boards. Not to mention Peja and Devin Brown both shooting lights out, seriously Peja was just hitting everything he threw up. This loss falls on the entire team as they all sucked at rebounding or we could have stole this one late. It is what it is a poor effort so we lost no big deal long season and this was the first game that we lost to an inferior opponent it happens to all good teams, who take a crappy team lightly.

I watched the reply of this game after I got back from school. Frye was terrible on Okafor in the first quarter, and Amare didnt even try to go for blocks and rebounds... Dudley had a great game, but thats pretty much the only upside. lou Amundson should've gotten more minutes, plus Earl Clark shoud've given a chance to match up on Peja. Peja killed us because he is so tall.

The umpiring during the game got from bad to worse.. The Suns got ripped off really badly in the final quarter. I thought it was blatant favouritism to the Hornets. (Tempted to punch the TV) But overall the Suns played badly, or not as good as we know they can play.

I think I agree with Chap. Worst loss of the season. I also agree with Griffin that I have seen a disturbing trend of the Suns playing catch up every single game. As great as that might be for the media types to have something to talk about, it's not a good way to play basketball. You play catchup and sooner or later it will hammer you. All it takes is a couple guys on the other team to get hot and put the game away.

If I see one major concern right now is that the Suns seem to have to dig themselves out of holes every single game.

I'm not going to overreact, since it is just one game. The same way that I haven't completely bought into the team after the first 12 games. I believe the Hornets were just having a solid shooting night behind the line, and the Suns couldn't match it. Yes, there were some problems on the boards, there were some 'homer' foul calls, and there was a lack of urgency at times... but that happens now and again.

If there was one point of the game that disturbed me, it was mid way through the third quarter. Amare had a chance for a 3-pt play to extend the lead to 9, he missed. The Hornets then made consecutive buckets, followed by a three point shot... 7 points, just like that. This 1-2 minutes of play bothered me more than the 4th quarter. The Suns were on a roll, they were about to put away an average team... but let it slip away. I can't recall perfectly, but it seems that the Suns had a turnover by Amare in the lane in this stretch and just poor shot selection. Sharks rip you apart when there is blood in the water... they quit scaring or intimidating you. The Suns need to learn to rip the throats out when a team exposes it. When they are in this position, every possession should be MUCH more important in their minds. Very few teams can come back against a double digit 4th quarter deficit. A team is tired, frustrated, and near conciliatory. The Suns had the Hornets just a few minutes from this situation, and they let them get up off the mat. The game was lost at that moment, IMO.

Frye kills us in a lot of games, early on he gets so many shots off and bricks a lot and then puts us in a hole. I don't thinK Frye should be getting this many shots, he is no way better than the other 4 guys on the court who shoot a lot better.

Frye's shooting is mainly a problem on the road as he can barely buy a bucket there.

Barbosa is trying way too hard to pad his starts at every opportunity, maybe to justify his minutes or to prove the wrist is not bothering him. He needs to play intelligently like he did last season. i was particularly miffed when he didn't pass the ball to an open Dragic and that wasn't the first time. I think he made a similar error in the Houston game.

If it makes anyone feel better (it probably won't), these same Hornets beat Atlanta last night.

And they only lost by one point at the Heats today. But still, that game was ours to lose.
