Suns @ Kings Game Thread - 12/16/06

I figured I would start it...

Ugly looking first quarter, but right now there's 2:26 to go in the 1st and the Suns are within 5.

Poor rebounding, poor defense, poor offense. Maybe the worst 1st quarter by the Suns this season.

James Jones sux. How much more do we need to see of this guy. Game after game after game he takes up space and minutes and doesn't produce.

looks like poor rebounding is costing us in this game. You cant give up 7 offensive rebounds in one half.

The kings arent shooting well either, but the fact they have the ball nearly 8 more times is giving them chances to keep the lead.

This is ridiculous. Nash has yet to score.. 2:26 left and we only have 29 points.

Both teams are shooting like crap. I hope Mike D kicks the crap out of his players during halftime and we can get another resurgence in the second half similar to the suns/kings game of last season.

Well ugly first half but still a very winnable game only down by 5 at half good drive by barbosa at the end of the 2nd qtr

12 turnovers at half-time. Should be down by a lot more if not for Barbosa, Thomas and some timely Nash shots.

The officiating is ridiculous. 3 ft's in a half for the Suns, calling ticky tack crap against the Suns, letting the Kings hack across the arms for To's and shove Amare & Marion out of bounds with no calls and then calling ridiculous fouls when Martin jumps awkwardly 3 ft forward into Boris Diaw, yet still got 3 ft attempts. The foul for Artest when he spun in for a layup was a crap call as well because there was very little contact. This has been the worst officiated game so far this season. Even the Kings announcer that switched with Eddie Johnson was giggling like a schoolgirl about his team getting away with fouls. BTW, Eddie Johnson & Tom Chambers are complaining about the refs.

It's amazing the Suns are within 5. I want to see them start moving without the ball, attacking the basket and actually hit some shots. Nash hasn't been penetrating the defense the last 2 games and that needs to be fixed.

The refs suck, but its just the much needed home court advantage for the Kings imo.

Raja's shot went away again, and those turnovers really hurt us. Not to mention the Kings' offensive rebs, they hustle better for those.

For me Nash is the biggest disappointment today (I didnt expect Diaw to have a great game against Artest). Is it possible that he practices now with the leather ball again, and this affects his game badly with the new ball?

Finally, we're in the lead by 2.

Don't know how long it will last, but we need to continue capitalizing on Sacramento's poor shooting--not to say that our's is any better.

Hell yeah! Now we're talking. 28 points so far in the third for the Suns, with 4:24 left in the quarter. Anyone sense a pickup in momentum?

Well that was a great 3rd quarter. Started off down by 5, finished up by 7. Raja definitely got hot this quarter: 5 of 6, 3 of 3 from downtown.

Hopefully the Suns can seal the win in the 4th....hopefully...

let's see if we can gut out number 14 - I'ms keptical, but hey, I'm a pessimist! that being said, good holy lord above, Jame sJones is so freaking awful - as good as this team is, can you imagine how much better they'd be with John Salmons instead of him - man, a legit 8 deep.
