It's right on to the next game.

Saturday the Suns play the Kings on the second night of back-to-back games.

Kings (12-19) have lost 5 games in a row including a 105-104 double overtime loss to to the Timberwolves at home on Thursday.

Suns (11-20) losing streak has reached 8 games after their 105-96 loss to the Warriors on Friday.

At least one team should feel better with a win.

Game time is 7 p.m. MST (Arizona time).

It will be televised on FSAZ.

Can we get the league to switch to 3-quarter games instead of 4-quarters?

Nah, that won't make a difference. Then the opponents will coast for 2
quarters, then turn it on for the 3rd. :(

Tonight against the Kings is probably the Suns best opportunity to get a win on the remaining 3 games of the road trip. I'm not optimistic though.

The Suns best chance to get a win is on January 3rd against the Knicks at home.

Their best chance was last night up 12 headed into the 4th quarter.

Yeah I was looking at the remaining 3 games on the road trip. Getting a win at the Warriors seemed like the best opportunity not that it was likely to happen. Nothing comes easy for the Suns.

The Suns need some leadership on the court. Booker, Rubio and Oubre are not providing it. Adding Ayton will help talent wise but I think the Suns have enough talent to win more games than they have. They are not playing consistent basketball as a team.

A couple of questions I have on my mind:

Do the Suns have a leader on the team and I'm not looking at just this season? At times it looks like the Suns wander around out there especially late in the game.

Another question comes to mind. Are the Suns being over coached where they are mentally fatigued? Sometimes if you hear something long enough, one can tune it out. This relates to the first question... who is the coach (leader) on the court who makes sure the team follows the game plan.

Maybe Ayton's return and a win or two will solve everything but the chemistry is not there and it's not just about talent.

If these guys have been “over coached” to the extent they are tuning out Monty a mere 31 games they’re not professionals. Plain and simple.

I'm saying it just can't be only the coach delivering the message. Someone on the court needs to take charge. Players need to be responsible.

For whatever reason the Suns are not responding and I do not think it's just about talent. Some leadership needs to emerge from the players. It can't be just the coach delivering the message. Monty and Kokoskov can't play the game for the players.

Something to remember, Oubre (groin) was on the injury report yesterday and played anyway.

I think it is safe to say that the hopes we had for the novice General Manager to shine have not materialized.

Which is not a surprise! Especially considering that he was one of Sarver's subordinates, with no credentials
for the job. Which is evidently why Sarver elevated him.

An insecure, or weak, leader surrounds himself with inferior people who can't challenge him. Especially if the
managing investor's resume is financial, not professional sports. Fame and fortune, not professional success.

A fan has to play with the cards dealt. Have to hope James Jones and Monty Williams can turn the team around. Sure it would be an easier path if the Suns had a better owner such Joe Lacob or Mark Cuban but it's not happening in the foreseeable future.

My God... if this isn’t the Webster’s Dictionary definition of hyperbole, I don’t know what is...
Jones improves the roster. Doesn’t look like so at the moment, but when you’re starting from where this roster has been, and your #1 pick a year ago has only played 2 games thus far, what the hell did you expect?

Any GM deserves more than a season or two before you can make such definitive claims. I am keenly interested in seeing what Jones does next. But my hunch is that he will continue to enhance the overall strength and depth of this team.

We are equally close to the second worse record in the league as we are to the 8 seed.

End of 1st quarter:

Suns 31 - Kings 30

Okobo fouled late on 3 pointer. He makes all 3 free throws.
