He simply isn't getting the ball. He also has Peja shooting 6-14.

I will take 6-14 shooting from Peja anytime we play the Kings.

Chris, in an up-temp game like this Marion should thrive. SAC is basically daring them to trade hoops.

If Marion were to be even MORE aggressive, his numbers would be even better. Plus, why can't he make Peja play defense?

Marion's not playing bad, he just needs to step up. Unless, you're satisfied with getting drilled every time PHX plays SAC.

Is Peja 6'10"?

EJ and Leander kept mentioning it.

Damn, did he grow?

No I am not satisfied with him offensively, but he is doing a NICE job on Peja and should be given credit for that.

Unfortunately Peja is a tough matchup for Marion because his game is all about coming off screens. He reminds me of a Reggie Miller in his glory days the way he shoots off those screens.

McNugget should be playing center right now. Little Jake has been terrible this game.

Definitely agree on that. Jake looks like he's lot a bit of confidence. Don't know why??

- Amare's just simply the most dominant player on the court. It's really fun watching his game go to new levels.

Once he gets the "D" down, there's no stopping him.

This team is so close to being good. Just add one player.

Again I can't complain too much about Marion's game. Frankly it seems like we are harping on the poor guy when:

Eisley shoots 0-8

Jake shoots 1-6 and grabs 2 rebounds.

Joe Johnson is just dominated by Doug freaking Christie.

There is plenty of blame to go around that doesn't involve Marion's 14 points, 9 rebounds and 64% shooting.

ditto

Amare and Marion are exempt from any bashing from my perspective, as is Barbosa for the most part.

Go ahead and bash the rest of the team...

However, I place most of the blame on the DAntoni and Eisley.

D'Antoni: The Suns lost the game in the 3rd quarter because they stopped feeding Amare. Amare was scoring at will, so give him the ball!!!

Eisley: Couldn't watch the game, but 0-8 is UNACCEPTABLE. Only shoot if you are wide open. Regardless, once you are 0-4, and you know you are not a major option, START PASSING THE BALL!!!

I agree. I leave and go as far as to say that if they added Kobe Bryant this team would be contending for home-court advantage in the playoffs. Of course it would also help to get a stronger defensive presence in the middle.

My problem with Howard Eiseley tonight wasn't that he shot poorly. It was that he continued to force bad shots when he wasn't shooting well.

Eisley is supposed to be a veteran, so why does get outplayed by by a rookie who played in second rate Brazilian league last year?

JJ continues to struggle since he became the marked man on the Suns. He did seem to have an awful lot of shots rim out, but the real problem is that he is getting double teamed. On the plus side, his overall play has remained good including 9 rebounds and 6 assists.

This was the first game since the mugging that Carbakapa actually showed some life. He is not close to where he was before being injured, but at least he scored a few points (4 of 8 ), grabbed 3 rebounds, blocked a shot and made a steal. However, he still cannot hit his outside shots and he was exploited badly a few times on the defensive end. But overall, it was encouraging.

I can't stand Casey I wish the Suns would just trade him so he doesn't get so many minutes. Why would you take Amare out and bring in Casey???? With a line up of:

Barbosa
Eisley
JJ
Casey
Marion

I think your going to loose to the Kings lIne up of:

Bibby
Christy
Paja
Miller
Divac

This is when I say the Suns start to go down hill. Why are the Suns so high on Casey I just don't see it. He is an average defender and has no ablity to creat his own shot! Why not use White and Amare or McDyess at least! Someone please tell Mike to stop using small ball (skill ball) We had a chance to beat the best and we blew it.

It still was a great game to watch and I am glad I am upset instead of just expecting to loose.

The Kings shooters down the stretch killed the Suns last night but overall not a bad effort. The Kings were just 10-15 points better last night.

Suns did a pretty good job on Peja and Bibby, except for all the fouls, but Doug Christie killed them. Peja is just flat out amazing.

Amare was very impressive but he was not playing against the best defensive team last night. The Kings really had no one to deal with him. JJ shot has been off, I don't think he is really sitting on the jumper like he was. He seems to be floating each time now. It will come back he just needs to keep getting FGA's.

People said Marion disappeared. I don't know if that is fair, I like it when Marion doesn't force his shot and takes it to the basket or shoots the short jumper.

The Suns need another scorer for nights when JJ is off. I think Zarko can be the guy but he is just not there quite yet. He looked better last night, at least he got some minutes in both halves of the game.

Here's to starting a new winning streak against the Nets on Wednesday.
