Last time the Suns played the Lakers, the Suns were on the road for the second night of a back-to-back while the Lakers rested comfortably at home. Tonight, the Suns again are playing for the second time in two nights on the road while the Lakers, once again, are at home after a day off. The Lakers had the whole day yesterday to prepare for this game while the Suns were playing the Kings and then flying to Los Angeles.

You'd think that eventually we'd have a similar advantage, but the Lakers won't have to play the Suns on a second night of a back-to-back this season, home or away.

Btw, the Lakers so far this season have played 14 home games, most in the NBA. Great way to get everyone healthy and build momentum; they couldn't have asked for a better schedule. The Suns, on the other hand, so far have played 7 games at home, fewest in the NBA. And it seems every time we have a tough game coming up, it's on the second night of a back-to-back on the road (Orlando, Lakers, Cavs, Lakers again tonight, and Nuggets next week). So far this season we are 1-3 on the tail end of a back-to-back set, with the only win coming against 76ers.

Don't you love the NBA? :sarcasm:

Not saying we are better than the Lakers, but holy crap the league is really giving em every help to start the season with a good record.

I'd rather have lots of home games down the stretch than early in the season, not that either one is of great importance.

As far as second games of a back to back, the only real disadvantage is when you're playing a team thats close in comparison - it could change you from being favored to being an underdog. The Lakers figure to beat us on their court anyway, so it doesn't cost much statistically - and it may cause them to underestimate us when it counts. The Nuggets is a much worse game since we've done pretty well against them in Denver of late but being tired at that altitude is a killer.

In any case, its just the regular season and the purpose of that is to get the team into the best shape possible for the playoffs - tough games are helpful.

Amare playing well. If he keeps playing like thjis, i.e last night. (18 pts 21 rebounds) he will probably get a max contract......

Is Jason Richardson ever going to do anything? We can not win if he can't get more than 2 points.

I really miss Barbosa.

Suns down 46-61 with about 9 1/2 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. I think we've run out of gas. :(

Nash has been killing us all those losses with his turnovers.

I have no idea why Jason Richardson is so damn inconsistent.

Grant Hill can't play on well on back to backs.

Channing Frye is a SF playing center.

Only Amare has been giving somewhat consistent production against the better teams or looks at least like he is getting back to a consistent 20-25/9-10.

Another blowout...... I don't think the team believed they could win this game from the beginning.

How are we suppose to stay positive after a blowout lost?

I understand the Suns weren't going to win this one, but atleast show some damn effort.
