well, Lakers were the better team. We couldn't solve Bynum. Then our perimeter defense lapses was atrocious. Farmar and Brown were left wide open after they showed already that they had some hot hot hands. Artest won the game for them with his hustles and 3s he normally doesn't hit. His hustle steal off Amare reversed the game momentum. We were just slowly cutting 20 pt deficit to 9 late in the 3rd. Then, they went like a 10-0 run after Amare called for blocking instead Kobe for charging, in a span of less than 2 min. The game was lost right there.

In general, I'm not so pessimistic after the loss. Despite the usual TOs by Nash, we stayed in the game for almost 3quarters. Amare played aggressive, as Dudley and Dragic. We need better def. awareness and concept. This team could really use Kurt Thomas on Bynum. We will always be underdogs against Lakers but do have a fighting chance when we meet them playoffs with full strength.

This is a scenario where the Suns are not as good as their record. Good enough to get into the playoffs and good enough to compete. However, when we play teams like the Lakers we have to play perfect to even have a shot. There were times where it just seemed like the Lakers were going through the motions during this game and coasting knowing they were going to beat us.

This month is going to be very tough and bring the Suns down to earth a bit.

For a time with a winning record, we sure seem to get blown out a lot. :(

whatever its the Lakers again at home with the officials, and us again on a back to back! Its pretty pathetic when the league makes you have to beat a good team and the refs, in other words they are our new Spurs. Screw you Stern and your ******** refs!

Whats the point in playing a game when the refs favour one team? Kobe could fkin bring a AK47 into Staples center and blow Amare's head off and he wouldnt get a foul. Fk this ****

Are back-to-backs going to be the running excuse all season if the team plays flat or just gets beatdown?

The Suns had been bad on back-to-back for a while especially towards the end of the D'Antoni era because of old legs, coupled with the way they played.
So far this season they have a legit excuse at least for the 1st quarter of the season considering how much traveling they've done.

Exactly. All NBA teams are in the same boat. They have road trips and back to backs as well. I heard people pull out that excuse about the Orlando game. However, that game was a back to back for Orlando and they were coming of their 4th game in 5 nights or something like that.

Different teams have different numbers of back-to-backs. I don't know how this year's Suns schedule stacks up.

As the oldest team in the league, the Suns are going to be more affected by back-to-backs than their opponents.

The Suns are?? I thought the Spurs or Celtics is the oldest team in the league.

The entire Suns bench (except for Collins) is younger than their entire starting lineup. I would guess that if you weight by each player's minutes, the Suns are the oldest. Near the top, anyway. I'll admit I don't know for sure.
