Joe Johnson 10-19FG 10-13FT 32points 6boards 3assists 3steals 1block in 32 minutes.
Zarko 10-18FG 25points 7boards 1assist in 34minutes

Qyntel Woods 15-23FG 37points 12rebounds 1assist 35minutes
Zach Randolph 12-18 27 points 8rebounds 2assists 35 minutes

And Casey STILL can't make his freethrows. And judging by the 64 points and and 20 rebounds they gave up to Stevenson and Woods, his defense still sucks.

In the opening game of day two, the Phoenix Suns fell to the Portland Trail Blazers 95-90 in a hard fought game.

Jake Tsakalidis was the top scorer for the first quarter scoring seven of the Suns points and Zach Randolph tallied eight points for the Blazers. Throughout the quarter, neither team had more than a five point lead.

It was the Suns on top at the end of the half as Joe Johnson took control of the game for the Suns. Qyntel Woods scored 10 points for the Blazers in the first half. Both teams only attempted three foul shots in the second quarter.

The second half proved to be as close as the first half with neither team leading by more than five in the game. The third quarter ended tied at 65. The fourth quarter was not as fast as the previous three however it was close until the very end. In the end Casey Jacobsen was unable to make the free throws to tie the game and the Blazers pulled out the 95-90 victory.

Both teams will be in action on Sunday as the Phoenix Suns take on the Chicago Bulls at 4:00 p.m. and the Portland Trail Blazers take on the Dallas Mavericks at 6:00 p.m.

Slightly different review:

"Day two at the Reebok Rocky Mountain ***** began with a close game between the Phoenix Suns and the Portland Trail Blazers. However it was the Blazers who came out on top 95-90 at the buzzer.
Tied at 23 at the end of the first quarter, Zach Randolph tallied 10 of the Blazers first quarter points as Qytel Woods added eight points and five boards in the quarter.
It was the Suns on top at the end of the first half (49-47) as Zarko Cabarkapa took control of the game for the Suns scoring 19 of the teams 49 half time points. Qyntel Woods scored 19 points for the Blazers in the first half.
The second half proved to be as close as the first half with neither team leading by more than five in the game. Tied at 65 heading into the fourth quarter, the game bounced back and forth until the final minute of the game when the Blazers pulled ahead on a pair of free throws to seal the victory.
Both teams will be in action on Sunday as the Phoenix Suns take on the Chicago Bulls at 4:00 p.m. and the Portland Trail Blazers take on the Dallas Mavericks at 6:00 p.m"

Looks like Cabarkapra put on a show in the first half!! Not worried about wins and losses, just how well the guys are playing individually at this point.

Jake played 24 minutes, had 12 points, 4 boards and 5 personal fouls. Looks like Big Jake ain't moving his feet yet. :D An interesting note in the official scorer's tally is Carbarkapra is listed at Center and Big Jake is listed at guard!!! :D :D :D

Jason Hart only scored 1 point, and Jacobsen only scored 8 points. Both guys cooled off this game.

Barbosa was a DNP for the second straight game. This worries me in that I want to see him play this summer. I hope it's just because of not knowing the Sun's system yet, and that he is picking it up in practice. Maybe fatigue with all the last minute Visa problems and travel he had to get to Phoenix in time for summer league.

The positions in summer-league box scores are always wrong. I have no idea why they even bother to try to list them.

Maybe Frank Johnson is coaching the summer league team. :)
