Tell me why we had to make all these cost cutting moves again. Sure some of the cost-cutting factors into the profit but we would have clearly still been profitable without all those trades.

In 2004 we made 20.1M$ 12th in the NBA
In 2005 we made 49.4M$ 1st in the NBA
In 2006 we made 34.5M$ 2nd in the NBA
In 2007 we made 37.3M$ 3rd in the NBA
In 2008 we made 28.9M$ 6th in the NBA
In 2009 we made 20.7M$ 6th in the NBA

IMO Leander is a notch below the absolute worst valley play-by-play guy.......Tim Healey(ASU radio). Try tuning in to an ASU game on radio and grow old waiting for Healey to give you a score....dude thinks he's doing television i guess.

This. And no one knows the real books, either. Revenue streams abound.

I would be shocked if they walked away $21M, though. Most of these operations are set up to break even if they're healthy and make an attempt to be competitive.

I don't mind Leander when he's just talking about players and stuff but his sayings are the worst. "Another Crush" leaves me yearning for the somewhat less annoying days of "Hoopdie Doo" and "Nash Rambler."

Bender is far less lucid, but doesn't have the annoying catch phrases.

EJ is 10,000 times better that Scott Williams but that goes without saying.

It's been a fair amount of time since my finance classes but as others have mentioned Operating income does not equal profit. I'm guessing they still turned a profit, but it's probably a lot less than the 20.7M reported. (Not that it excuses the blunders over the years)

Dragic hits the floor and Bender says it's Nash. Some player takes a jumper almost right on the free throw line and Bender says was that an outside shot? Am telling you, guy must be going blind. He cracks me up though..
