Call me old fashioned or say my expectations are out of whack but I think injured players should be with the team for this game. I can see why they didn't make the whole trip but this is the final game of the season, everyone should be there to cheer on those playing. With all of them out I doubt it was a player decision so I don't blame them for it but still doesn't seem right.

I'm a bit old fashion as well. They should be there unless their injuries needed treatment at home.

Luka plays tonight. It should make the game more fun to watch.

And Dirk appropriately makes the first basket of the game.

Mavericks want Dirk to have a good game and they are feeding him the ball.

He already has 7 points. They lead 10-8.

Yeah that’s BS. It’s the last game of the season not just a regular game. I don’t like the fact the suns even let this happen

Latest injury update. Holmes is still out.

#Suns will play season finale tonight against Dallas without Richaun Holmes, who sprained his left ankle against Utah.

No Deandre Ayton (ankle), Devin Booker (ankle), TJ Warren (ankle), Kelly Oubre Jr. (thumb) or Tyler Johnson (knee) as they didn't make the trip.

this is a bad look for none of those guys to be there, IMO.

Crawford seems to be the best Suns player on the court with 12 points.

How appropriate that our Suns die at the hands of the rotting corpse of Dirk Nowitzki.

Gina Mizell on the Suns injured players not making the trip.

I understand why #Suns did not bring injured players on this trip, but it's a bummer they can't experience what's happening tonight. Shows impact an athlete can have on a city. Booker talked abt how much he admired that in Dwyane Wade, who is also playing final home game tonight.

That run that Dirk had to the championship was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen in sports. It was the ultimate get on my back run.

Took down the Heat with the big 3 and had was just surrounded by good role players Jason Terry, Tyson Chandler, JJ Barrera.

I suggest that the addition of Tyson Chandler as their starting Center was the difference maker for the Mavs. He was still in his prime.

By the time the Suns signed Chandler to try the same thing, Tyson was past his prime.

Cleveland lost tonight so Cavaliers and Suns should tie for second worst team in the league.

He was certainly a better player for him than when we got him but I think you give him a little too much credit for that championship. IMO they were an ounce or two shy of a full glass and the addition of Tyson filled it up.

Chandler was probably more important in the regular season than he was in the postseason. But Jason Terry was huge in those playoffs and even Marion, Barea and even Kidd all had pivotal roles in their title run. Sure, the loss of Tyson probably would have cost them the championship but IMO the loss of Terry, Barea or Marion would likely have done the same thing. And of course, without Dirk they don't come anywhere close to the playoffs.

Wow. Crawford has 42 points. Mavericks lead cut to 5 points 105-100.

What a difference from the very first game of the year between these two teams.

So much promise and disappointment from both teams
