The only redeeming quality I get from this game is the fact it will be Lens last as a Sun.

Man I really wanted this last game to be more watchable, but maybe (for the love of god) Bender will have a very good game to close the season.

I'm going to watch the game and have fun. Hopefully every Suns fan should be on the same page.

I think what gets lost sometimes is the beauty of the game. Simply watching the players play.

It's fun to watch a scrimmage, visit summer league or watch a preseason game. These are good basketball players to get to this level.

Now it's time to relax and enjoy it all and not worry about a score.

I don't disagree, but it wouldn't hurt for the last game before the long summer to be one that features more than one or two players that will likely be on the team next year.

So that leaves...

Ulis Harrison
Reed
House Dudley
Bender Peters
Len

Am I missing anyone?

That's a slightly above average D-League team.

Put another way..Here is our roster of injured players:

Knight Payton
Booker Daniels
Warren Jackson
Chriss
Chandler Williams

You could make a pretty reasonable argument that's the Suns' best nine players.

I can live with it. The future is this summer.

Aside from Len (a decision has likely been made) the players in tonight's game will be fighting for a roster spot next season. This game is especially important for House, Harrison, Reed and Ulis. IMO, it will be tough for Peters to make the Suns roster next season.

Go Bender!

I was reading articles last night and the Mavs media want them to lose to the suns in the 'worst way'. A win over the suns would have massive consequences to their draft. They are in a three way race right now.

This alone should make the game interesting... the Mavericks trying to get underneath the Suns. ;)

You sure could. What would be the counterargument? Len ahead of Williams, maybe?

It may be a reach but perhaps Bender over Chriss??

Or Ulis over Payton.

Yeah...and when given the choice on who to commit to last season, the Suns clearly favored Williams.

I think some of the players tonight (Bender, House, Ulis, Reed) have the potential to be better than some of the injured players, but at the moment that's just potential.

I'm not high on Payton, but he's definitely shown more than Ulis at this point in their careers. I'm going to ignore the Bender/ Chriss comment for the sanctity of this thread going forward. :)

Skipping the Bender/ Chriss comparison. :wink2:

I'm thinking the Suns value Ulis and maybe even Harrison over Payton. My guess is those two will be back while I think Payton is gone.

Payton had a really good opportunity to prove himself to the Suns and he didn't.

Yeah that seems WAY fishy. Bring a couple players back maybe but let's not get cute now.

Just flush this game...who cares. This team might look radically different next season so I'm not feeling too attached to this squad.
I'll watch the Suns for 1 3/4 hours tonight until the D-backs game starts.

It is much more satisfying to watch winners!

Ken Kendrick as Managing General Partner of the D-backs has made mistakes. But he has never pretended that he has the background or experience to be General Manager, as Sarver has.

For what he'll cost, I've lost pretty much all interest in Payton. Ulis and Harrison are both more interesting when considering the Suns future, but part of that is because they are still prospects that can be signed and developed dirt cheap.

But Payton is a better, more proven player by far right now (not that it really matters beyond this narrowly focused debate I created).

I was trying to look at it through the eyes of the Suns... not that I have a clue as to what they think.

Tank job is complete, Sarver. You got the most ping pong balls. You can safely try and win a game.
