Beal unlocks them. It's apparent

He’s a huge X factor. But so was having book playing more off ball. It unlocks his pure scoring.

I think it's the pace Beal plays at. Durant and Booker have a tendency to stagnate, dribble and slow it down but Beal is constantly moving. Even if he isn't the ball handler, his motion gets the action going.

He is so much quicker than I realized, always thought of him as more of a spot up shooter, but he did spend years playing with John Wall who was one of the fastest guys in the league.

I don't know how to look at team pace only by recent games, but I can see that we've gone from the 2nd slowest playing team overall on the season to the 6th slowest, just in the court of a couple weeks.

Such an improvement 40 games into the season makes me think that we are probably playing at a top 15 or maybe even top 10 pace lately.

@nashman if you’re wondering.. the sigh is for not having anything to complain about.. if its something I have to pick at its being down in the first quarter..

I like the bench scoring.. the big 3 minutes were slightly less than normal.. I like how the players weren’t taking crap and fought back..

Yup. He’s much more versatile than I expected. If he can just stay healthy…

Just found a way. Over the last 10 games, not including tonight, we're 14th in pace in the league, with tonight's game we'd probably jump to 11th.

Prior to that stretch we were 28th in the league.

Closest I could find is here:

Doesn't show pace specifically so I looked at FGAs per month. Doesn't seem to be any correlation there, but the TO's have been down month over month.

Great observation about his movement and pace. And I agree, he’s quicker than I thought. Kinda sneaky quick though. Not D’aaron fox fast, but quicker than most realize.

He's elite at change of speeds. His ability to stop on a dime or accelerate at a gap is pretty fun to watch, especially as he has the handles to enable these actions.

He’s also a little more explosive at the rim than I expected.

Mr Most Punchable Face finally got metaphorically punched in the face. Back to Suns dominance after that gruesome playoff meltdown.
