Ayton and Daniels could both be out.

I think the date on the thread title is off, the game is on the 20th?

I did notice that Ayton tends to "turn" his ankles a lot as he makes moves.

I've heard people blame the shoes for that. Both Ayton and Bagley signed with Puma, who just got back into making basketball shoes again. There were some issues getting his size right since he wears a size 18. He wore Nike's in preseason, not sure if he's changed yet but I would imagine so. I read a few articles of pundits bashing the design of the Puma shoes, saying they're going to kill Ayton and Bagley's ankles quickly. I really hope that isn't the case but who knows. I haven't seen any complaints by Ayton or Bagley though.

Hopefully they're able to get his shoes right and they get him some quality footwear. They hadn't signed any basketball players in a very long time so it's questionable, even if it's unlikely they hurt him at all.

Here is one article about Ayton wearing Nike's in preseason with tape over the logos. It talks more about the Puma deal.

I had just considered his own unique way of moving. It is interesting that it might be the shoes.

Here is another update from Gina Mizell.

It will be an especially tough game if Ayton is not ready to go.

I was reading the report and thought Ayton had done a roundhouse kick to Troy Daniels' head for some reason. Thus the ankle injury and concussion.

This will be a good gauage early on as to if the first game was a fluke.

The GS game I expect we will be mowed down. Interestingly, the GS centers play similar style to Deandre Jordan. If you stick on them like Ayton did Jordan it eliminates their scoring on offense, because Looney and Jones are lob and put back scorers. They get most of their points off offensive rebounds. Neither one is really a threat with the jump shot.

The Mavericks were in the tank race also. I expect the Suns to be no worse than they were last year. They openly tanked and Cuban got fined for saying as much but they still finished with like 27 wins or so. I don't think that was a fluke, at all. That is about how I see our talent level. The Nuggets were fringe playoff team that got shafted by Utah catching fire and New Orleans improving without Cousins. I think that will be a good gauge of where we're at. It'll be tough to gauge against the Warriors though. So long as Kerr doesn't hand playcalling duties to his players again that's a plus.

It's pretty darn difficult for any team to be worse than the Suns were last year...

This seems to be a bit contradictory but if Devin Booker says he is nearing 100% so be it.

Bridges made a brief appearance against the Mavericks. I'm not sure about Bender... he didn't play nor did Holmes.

Enjoy the the game!

It looks like Bridges indeed will get minutes tonight.

I like the mention, Bridges is a rotational guy.
