He had been quiet for awhile.

The Suns have a habit of winning games I have penciled in as losses.

Booker had 30 points and 5 assists.

Warren had 25 points.

Canaan and Jackson with 16 each.

Haven't watched the game yet but from the box score I'd say the Suns won because we had our best shooters taking the bulk of the shots and the rest of the guys didn't turn the ball over that much - 11 TOs is great for us. Bender didn't score but her got 8 boards. Jackson shot 6/9 so his shot selection is improving.

Lakers and Grizz kept pace with us beating Pacers and Kings... we need those two teams to catch fire a bit so they vault over us and Mavs as well. All three of them are statistically slightly better than us - one indication being their score differential is better.

Haven't watched the game yet but from the box score I'd say the Suns won because we had our best shooters taking the bulk of the shots and the rest of the guys didn't turn the ball over that much - 11 TOs is great for us. Bender didn't score but her got 8 boards. Jackson shot 6/9 so his shot selection is improving.

In some ways the Nuggets might be a team the Suns pattern themselves after.

Murray is the real deal in the backcourt at PG and Gary Harris is a solid SG. Trey Lyles is an ideal PF and Jokic is a very nice center.

Of course it is a bit discouraging because the Nuggets should be a better team than their record. They need more depth off the bench.

I'm hoping the Suns can get Booker a solid running mate in the backcourt and solidify the center position in the draft. The Suns are looking solid at SF with Warren and Jackson. Hopefully Bender or Chriss can become as good as Lyles.

Two times he found the cutting Warren, and one time he found Booker at the three point line. I hope we see more of this. It really gives Suns a different look than the typical pick and roll sets.

Agree on all counts. Both are far away from being very good players, but it makes me happy to see the little improvements. I love JJ's confidence, and I love seeing Bender do different things. I do want to see him making more plays both in the low and high post. Seeing him making those passes from the low post reminded me of Vlade Divac and C-Webb making plays in the low post.

Disclaimer for certain people: I am NOT comparing Bender to Divac or Webber as complete players. Just talking about low-post play-making.

BTW. TJ Warren is such an amazing offensive talent. He is so underrated. His ability to score in heavy traffic is just incredible. He can be triple teamed by larger players under the hoop and he can still score. He is actually quite strong, pushes the ball up through contact, but he also has a VERY quick shot that makes it hard to block.

I agree, JC. I remember watching him in his rookie season and thinking how I have never seen a kid his age understand the timing and angles. He knows exactly which way to go, how to hesitate for a second to let the opposing players move/ fly by just enough to not get his shot blocked, etc.

FYI, I thought of you as Lyles was really good. He's very solid and gets the job done.

Yes, I like him in the post. Now, the next step is for him to mix in some offense so he's a threat there as well and the opponent doesn't always know he's passing out.

I have seen this too. He has a chance to be a better Boris Diaw. He can pass the ball in a similar way, and he is a similar defender. But he is bigger and is a better shooter. He will not be a star, but an ideal complementary player on a quality team.

That is a really good comparison! 7'1 Boris Diaw who can shoot better.

The Boris we had when Amaré went down was way better than Bender, but he was probably some years older also. Hope Bender has a good offensive game soon. Get his confidence back up. He needs to contribute and be a factor. Cannot leave everything to Booker and Warren. Good thing he's involved with passing and getting some rebounds though. Go Bender. Don't forget to jump.

Plumlee fouls Chandler very hard no review.

Chandler fouls Plumlee on the shoulder hard and gets called for a flagrant after Plumlee falls to the floor acting like he has been annihilated.

I guess a new form of flopping.
