Why bother? This team even if it somehow snuck into the 10 spot was just going to get beat quickly.

The Suns could have found out a lot more about the team going forward with an interim head coach.
I'd like to know how the same players responded under different coaching. Before making offseason changes, information is important.
What players? It's basically a fire sale going forward. Maybe Book stays, if he wants to, but I wouldn't be shocked if Dunn and Oso are available for the right price given we aren't going to be competitive for a while. We really don't know the direction of the team until we know who is making the calls. We need an announcement on who the GM is going forward. I'm not sure when GM deals expire so we could very well be without one right now.
I doubt it. This is more about roster construction IMO than coaching. Sooner or later this team has to stop blaming it all on coaching.

I'd want to know everything possible about how the players perform under a different head coach. The answer usually becomes clear after doing thorough research.
We know how they play. Almost everyone has experience in the league under other coaches. Utilizing them under a coach isn't an NBA quality head coach wouldn't answer any questions. This roster is poorly constructed. There's no size and too much selfishness on offense while no one is strong defender. Even in cases where Dunn or Royce locked someone up, there's 3-4 other positions not doing their job and the other team can spread to ball to find an opening.
An interim wouldn't have shown anything worth seeing, IMO. We needed this experiment to end ugly and it did. Ownership needs to realize they aren't management and step back while replacing the management that allowed this mess to be put together.

It would have shown how far the current Suns team could have advanced under a different head.
That's valuable information in my book. This wasn't supposed to be a garbage roster.

Devin Booker now has had 7 Head Coaches in 10 seasons. Next season it will be 8 in 11 seasons. Probably no other NBA player has had this much change while on one team only.
Which is why I feel the way I do about the constant finger pointing of coaches.

I'm not a fan of scapegoats. The same Devin Booker was on the Suns 2020-21 Finals team.
There is no easy answer to what went wrong with the Suns in game 7 of the playoffs against the Mavericks.
Look at where the Suns are with Kevin Durant.

Why do you keep limiting the convo to 1 game? After we took a 2-0 lead, we got our asses absolutely handed to us in 4 of the next 5 games of that series and then we came out the next season pre-trade with a pretty underwhelming 30-26 record in a really down year in the West.
Same Suns team that gave up a 2-0 lead in the finals? That team?
Even then that was a long time ago. They gave him the keys and it’s been a disaster. That’s part of being the man you get the credit and the blame. It should be obvious to everyone Booker is not capable of being that guy
And they failed to allow his team to continue growing. LeBron didn't win his first finals. Giannis flamed out of the playoffs many times. Jokic was owned by Ayton before becoming a champion. The list goes on. Those franchises empowered those players, the Suns continued to miscast Booker as a PG.
