Where is this narrative coming from?
I hate to state the obvious. But Booker already said if the Suns dont make the playoffs in a year or two things might change for him wanting to be here. Thats where this narrative is coming from.

I fully expect Booker to force the Suns to trade him off the team. If not this season then in the off season for sure. I dont blame him for having to put up with the ineptness from the owner and management of this team.

Fine. Then the Suns can hire me as GM for a day, and I will meet with Booker, and I will say this: "We didn't just sign you to a $160 million extension so that could quit on us after a dozen games. You're in this for the long haul, just as you were when you signed this deal. Keep getting better and figuring out how to make your teammates better. We pay you to lead, and you don't lead by whining or pouting. Spend this season showing the league why you're worth it."

If only it was that easy with todays NBA players. But I totally agree with you though.

Do you guys really think with a different coach, or Terry Rozier this team would be winning?

I don’t

Our rookies need experience. We just don’t have enough talent yet.

Fine wait at least a year and a half then, and not 12 games to bring it up.

I like Ayton's attitude. He was a bit starstruck early but he got his act together for 20 points and 12 rebounds.

Devin is awful today, should the coach deduct his playing time? Or he fear to do so?

i'm not worried about Booker. he got his deal. it's his team. and if he does gripe it will likely just be to force management to get their poo together

Well, I predicted it would happen, contract or not. Most of you were pissed at me for posting that. And repeating it.

I just didn't say when because that would have been a guess. And, yes, I didn't expect Book would be showing signs of it this soon.

He announced he wants to be with a winner and I'm sure he wants to be an All Star, which is not easy when you're on a pathetic team year after year.

Where's the surprise?

Yup. Make all the excuses you want for Ayton, but that’s disgusting and I’d say booker has a right to have that attitude, but it looks similar to his own effort in d.

Him wanting off the team is pure, unsubstantiated conjecture.

What Booker said, without going back to find the exact quote, is that he doesn't want to continue missing the playoffs.

Miss the playoffs? How about not getting blown out every game. Would you not react?

Put yourself in his place. He's an intelligent young man, NBA basketball is pretty transparent and he sees the writing on the wall.

Remember when Sarver (I think it was he rather than McDonough, but either way) announced that Devin would be involved in player personnel decisions?

I wouldn't bet the ranch that they honored that. And now they've added a coach who has been caught lying to the Press to cover up his inadequacies.

And it just gets worse and worse.

P.S.: Your using the word "wanting" is present tense. No one said it's going to happen now. But he's beginning to show signs. It makes no sense to overlook it.

He said he was done missing the playoffs and that he would do everything he could to get us back there in the future. He said he never wanted to miss out on making the playoffs for the rest of his career. The way he said it was a challenge to himself, not opening the door for him to ask to be traded. You spinning it that way is simply your own interpretation of it.

He even said in the same interview about how he wanted to get the Suns back to greatness, mentioning the Nash and Barkley years. It's like you chose to ignore that part because that doesn't support the narrative that he's getting ready to demand a trade.
