Why did Booker pass to Jackson? That didn’t make any sense.
I would have to watch the replay again, but JJ was already in range and Booker was still dribbling up the court?

EDIT: Just resaw it, it was the opposite! JJ on the move.

Lol well that was exciting at least. Ugly but fun. The suns had no business winning that game. You have to give them credit for hanging in there. JJ with a clutch shot. Not a consistent game from him but nice shot at the end.

This team needs to stop bitching and play basketball. Booker being the leader of this team is the biggest complainer of all and its rubbing off on the rest of the team. I know the refs are garbage but they complain way to much.

Kelly Oubre showing leadership qualities giving props to josh jackson in the post interview. Also revealed he wore the headband for Holmes who was out tonight with an injury. That's how you build a cohesive unit and build team chemistry going forward.

Oh wow, I have never seen a crap show like this. Pelicans called not one timeout they didn't have, but two!
Officiating was terrible. Suns should have won by double digits with normal officiating.

Ayton needs to learn how to keep his fat mouth shut. Especially without Holmes, he cannot get himself tossed out of the game.

That new kid looked really good tonight. He played kind of like a taller Bridges.

Awesome defensive play by Booker with that block.

Excellent finish by Jackson.

Yeah, i hope Ayton gives himself an F after this game too. His temper very nearly cost the game.

Here's video of the crazy ending. Booker goes and gives 5 to a player on the Pelicans bench after he hits the FT to give the Suns the lead. Anthony Davis is right there and does a total "WTF" after that happened. I guess only he can plot against the Pelicans. That is around the 1:05 mark in the video.

Feel bad for Gentry. I like that guy. He was ticked about the short five seconds in the inbounds play. It was Gentry who signaled for the time out.

Booker was getting double teamed and JJ has been shooting the three very well of late (he has actually made 13 of his last 27 three point attempts).

I'm not even sure that pass was meant for Jackson. Daniels was right there too. In fact, it was heading straight for Daniels but JJ nabbed it out of the air and nailed the game tying three.

That’s JJ. The kid might make a ton of bad decisions, but he never lacks confidence even to take the final shot. Those types of players are really good at times and really bad others. There is very little in between.

When JJ missed that last free throw, I swear the Pelican player that got the rebound mouthed time out. The refs just let it go so the game could end, LOL.

Surprised no one else mentioned this yet (or at least I didn't see), but it was another relatively strong defensive performance from Booker. Had that huge clutch block on Frank Jackson but played mostly solid defense the entire game. Good to see him start to get dialed in on that front, even if it's only at critical times right now. Now if we could only do something about those turnovers...

He still has plays where he doesn't play defense, but for about 75% of the game, he seems to be more engaged. His biggest defensive lapses last night were arguing with refs three times and not getting back on defense, Outside of that, he has been quite competent defensively.

I had not mentioned it, but I did notice it. I have been pretty hard on Booker throughout the year for his inefficiency and lack of D, but if he steps up in this area he will be doing more than we thought he could do and could approach superstar level.

Credit where credit is due.

He also seems to be enjoying the pg duties a little more lately. Now if he can just cut out a few turnovers. Getting a good defensive combo guard to play alongside Booker might be the ticket. Brogdon type of player.

Oubre on the bench also basically jumped as high as Bridges did during Bridges' steal-and-dunk in the second quarter. Video at 2:32.

Too bad Oubre missed the dunk against Houston because he's had a few of those himself recently.

That was pretty cool.

Also that play actually started at 2:32.

Being able to pull up and share highlights almost seconds after they happen is something we take for granted. I noticed when looking for some older Amare highlights that the technology has changed a ton in the last 2 decades. It's hard to find pre-Nash Amare stuff in HD quality, or even in VHS quality. It gets easier as you get closer to today but I'm surprised the league hasn't helped out some by putting a lot of the older footage online. They don't need to edit it, there are entire communities that handle that aspect of things.

It shouldn't be harder to find a decent quality video of Amare and Marbury playing together than it is to find a highlight for someone like Bender in the 2nd quarter of a Suns vs Pelicans game in March when neither are playing for anything.

I bet I could find 2 or 3 different angles of that dunk Bender had on the breakaway much easier than find an alley oop thrown from Marbury to Amare during Amare's rookie year. Marbury was an All-Star and Amare was Rookie of the Year also so it's not like they were a couple of scrubs playing on a last place team.
