Sunday the Suns wrap up their four game road trip with a game at the Pistons.

Both teams are coming off big wins. The Pistons beat the Rockets at home on Friday 116-111 in overtime while the Suns beat the Bucks on the road 116-114.

The game is scheduled to be televised on FSAZ Plus at 2 p.m. Arizona time.

Today's game will go along way to see if the Suns have taken a step forward.

I'm hoping Igor sticks with Booker, Bridges, Ariza, Warren and Ayton as starters.

Blake Griffin is on a tear, TJ Warren is going to have his hands full with him. Drummond is another big physical center, I'll be happy if Ayton can keep him off the offensive glass.

It would be nice if today's game showed positive movement but that might be asking too much. We played very well against Milwaukee but the Bucks contributed to their own demise. They took us lightly and Brook Lopez had one of his worst games as a pro. We can't count on those gifts nightly. As always, I'll be hoping for a win but win or lose, I'll be content if we show consistent effort. And I agree on the starting lineup.

Detroits size will be an issue. I saw someone else mention that Ayton and Holmes will have their hands full with Drummond and Griffin but I think it's unlikely we see those 2 share the court for many minutes tonight. I mean Ayton and Holmes sharing the court, of course.

I think we'll have a Ryan Anderson sighting at some point, because Kokoskov thinks him being 2 inches taller than Warren actually makes a difference. If Anderson is subbed in once, I can forgive that, unless he's nailing 3's or doing something great offensively. If Kokoskov thinks actually using him throughout the game will help the Suns in any way though he's an idiot. Anderson is our worst defender, bar none, so his extra size doesn't make a difference.

I think we need to keep our Booker & Bridges backcourt out there as much as possible, especially while Reggie Jackson is playing. Send Canaan in when Ish Smith sees minutes. Detroit starts a fairly big backcourt with Jackson, Bullock, and Glenn Robinson. Bullock and Robinson bulkier small forwards, not really shooting guards, so Bridges, Jackson, and Ariza should matchup well with them. Booker will be able to have his way with Jackson, who hasn't been as good in Detroit as he was in OKC, even though his stats are much better.

This team needs a real PF pretty badly. I might even consider that a bigger need than an upgrade at PG. We just have way too many mismatches on the interior every night.

Thankfully Kokoskov is sticking with the same starting line-up as Friday.

I'm not asking for a victory although it would be nice. What I'm looking for is the Suns to play well. They can control how they play.

Booker looks more engaged on both ends than I have seen in some time. He's got 15 points after one, he looks to be trying harder on defense, and he even got on Ayton.

Espn says JJ hit a “70 foot” 3 pointer. Is this true? Why would we throw up a 70 footer?
