This had me puzzled for a while... maybe spelling it Riffod would help... or join the rest of us plebians and call him Diaw.

Even if it's not the most appropriated topic, I add some things :

Pronounce [dio]-[rifio].

Mother Elizabeth played center in more than 200 games with the french national team, most of it as captain. Widely considered as one of the best, if not the best, european women's interior player in the 70's. Became university professor at the end of her career.

Father Issa came back to Senegal after finishing law school, and became a famous lawyer out there.

Older brother Martin played Div II NCAA ball in California U of Pennsylvania.

Enjoys eating pasta, but his favorite meal is Yassa w/chicken, a traditional senegalese meal.
