Oh ok az19 thanks I thought we had a chance to play the jazz also at the 6th seed, but your right really doesn't matter who you play because any team can beat you this season west is just so deep its unreal

They pretty much shot themselves in the foot with this loss. 1.5 games back of Houston for the 5 seed, we probably will stay at 6, this was the time of the season they were supposed to rise in the standings, but they can win it all at any seed...I truly believe that.

I just hope they realize games aren't handed to them after the first few minutes...

Tough loss, we could end up playing the Lakers in the first round....

I still have faith though don't count that out. This team is capable of beating everyone and I mean it. Just please, win the last 2 games....for our sake.

So does this mean we don't have home court advantage? Because if we don't, its better than facing Utah Jazz in there home court.

There is a remote possibility if Rockets lose all 3 of their games (ain't gonna happen) and we win both our remaining games that we will be 1/2 game ahead of them and will have 5th seed. We will have home court but will be playing Jazz.

so you say my brain is small, then 5 minutes later tell me its not the size that matters.....

aaanyways, shouldnt you be making a "suns are done" thread now?
Why would I make that thread? Have I made a thread like that before? And shouldn't you be making a thread "xyz team cannot win a seven game series aginst us"...?

Its a DAMN shame...

Congrats Suns.. you have all but guarenteed yourself to face the Lakers in the first, Spurs in the 2nd, and Hornets in the 3rd round ALL ON THE ROAD...

I know the suns are playing it down like they don't care about having home court... but the fact is playing the first two games on the road of every series is ridculously hard, and I don't see the suns being able to do it...

With so much on the line with this game, the suns simply didn't show up. and with Stat having such a monster game, how does he not even touch the ball on like 4 or 5 straight possessions??

I am sad for the suns... Do I think they can still win it all... if they do it will be the most impressive playoffs performance of ALL TIME... BY FAR...

I just don't see it happending.. unfortunantly....

The way I see it Phoenix doesn't need to win the next 2. With the Rockets loss, we're stuck in 6th. Rest the starters (maybe play them 15 min max and let the scrubs play the rest). BUT knowing DA, he won't do that. He'll play them 30-35 min. because it's "good practice."

Spurs and Lakers need to lose their last 3 in order for us to get 3rd seed (and with Suns winning the last 2 games). I don't see that happening. In fact, I want the Lakers to beat the Spurs so Suns face them 1st round.

The only question I have is which Phoenix team will show up in the playoffs? I have never felt so uncertain going into the playoffs as I do this year. Just hope for the best I guess. I want to be as positive a possible but it's gets so hard after games like this one. It is what it is though.

I think this definitively answers the question of who to root for in the Spurs-Lakers game on Sunday. We need the Lakers to win. Lakers, Spurs, and Rockets all have identical records. If the Spurs drop a game back, it will push them down to #5, push the Rockets up to #3 and keep the Lakers at #2.

Spurs own tiebreaker against Houston
Lakers own tiebreaker aganst San Antonio (if they win)
Houston owns tiebreaker against Lakers

Unfortunately it looks like once the playoffs roll around it will basically be a coin toss on who wins. Take it or leave it but you all know it is the truth. Hopefully the suns play hard and draw heads on the flip.

Wouldn't that be ironic....

The problem... Houston still has to play @Utah and @Denver.....

They will drop at least one maybe both, and we will have to play the Spurs on the road in rRound 1, the Lakers on the Road Round 2, and in all likelyhood the Hornets in round 3....

ouch... maybe next year....

Well, if the Suns (Jerry Colangelo) had called tails the last time they had an impoortant coin flip, they probably would have won a title or five...and the Lakers wouldn't have gotten a couple.
