No doubt the Suns need Steve Nash in the lineup. I like Dragic but I don't think he is a true PG. I wish the Suns would look to add a third PG. Kudos to Steve Nash for making the Suns look like a basketball team again.

I think that's a bit unfair to Dragic. Unlike Nash, Dragic doesn't have a Dragic playing behind him. Also, this offense is designed for Nash. I doubt Deron Williams would be all that good in this offense either.

What's the problem? The Suns can add a third PG and keep Dragic too. The Suns need insurance at the PG position. Needless to say the Suns need a big man as well. The Suns roster is only at 14 including Barron and Siler. The Suns need another playable big man this season and I'm thinking these two are not the answer.

The Suns need a big man. Period. We don't need a point guard. The thing is, Grant Hill and Hedo can handle point guard duties, but what does Gentry do? Give that task to Jared freaking Dudley, who's never been a point guard in his life.

I like Gentry, but he has done a lot of things this season so far that just don't make a lot of sense.

When Nash was out with injury, it was obvious to me the Suns needed a third PG. I think Hedo and Hill need to play where they play best. They both are looking good without the burden of playing PG.

A third PG would be nice, but a big should be the priority right now

I'd agree with that only if getting a backup PG would be an impediment to getting a big guy. Otherwise, I figure it's like water and oxygen, we need them both. Maybe Nash will never break down and maybe he will defy the aging process but banking on it is reckless. We clearly need a good big man and would be improved even if we just added a slightly below average big man but we clearly need a 3rd PG too, IMO.

Maybe I misunderstood you. I thought you were using our Nash-less results to gauge Dragic's value. Actually, I think a lot of people are likely to do that. They'll look at our performance when Nash is missing and use that to decide Dragic is nowhere near the player Steve is. And, as I mentioned, that comparison has holes in it.

Tonight's game notwithstanding, I wonder how many people will ignore your comment about Hedo playing well. That is contrary to pretty much everything anybody writes about him.

Good point Chaplin, I was actually thinking the same thing.

I admitted I knew pretty much nothing about Hedo when he came here and I asked the question as to why so many fans disliked him... Then when he got off to a slow start I was thinking; 'wow we screwed up with this guy'

but he's starting to come around and play better. He seems to be getting a little more comfortable in the paint and the guy definitely can hit big shots when we need them so I'm happy with how Hedo is progressing. Its still painfully obvious that he cant play at the 4 spot so I really wish we'd bring someone in to be a true big man.

I mean, isn't it clear that we have enough scoring? Wouldn't it be worth it to even bring in someone JUST to rebound and defend the paint? Is there such a guy out there?

We were already a small team, but these past few games without Lopez have just been sad. We look like a JV team trying to get rebounds against our older (bigger) brothers. :(

I intend to ignore anything positive whatsoever that Hedo does. I've already made up my mind.

Anytime he shows a momentary glimpse of value I intend to take that as a trend rather than an anomaly.
