Good win to start off the year in SA Amare, nash, and shaq all played well :) man it just feels great beating the sterns to start the season!!!! I also thought Dragic looked ok minus that turnover where he just let the guy take it from him. But gj suns way to start the season off right

As much as I should be excited, I can't stop thinking in my mind why couldn't Duncan have missed that in the playoffs?

That's exactly the way game 1 should have ended.

Great win. Solid execution on offense down the stretch. On the downside, still can't stop Parker, and still having issues scoring with Nash on the bench. The Suns outscored the Spurs by 17 with Nash on the floor, but were outscored by 12 when he was resting.

Number 1, who CAN stop Parker? Why do people think it's an easy thing to do? Tony Parker is a pretty good player.

Yeah I know, instead of "stop" I should have said hold him under 30 points. But I don't really mind him scoring so much so long as we win.

Good opening night win. Don't know what you can really read into it with 2 San Antonio starters out. However, a win is a win.

Things I liked:
  • Leandro turning it on.
  • Nash being Nash
  • Rebounding as a team
  • Assists as a team
  • Lopez had a good stretch
  • Good defensive stop at the end
  • Bench 42 points - We have been waiting for a bench like that
Things I didn't like:
  • Overall defense (50% is not good)
  • They need to get Nash invovled shooting more when team goes into shooting funk
  • Allowing Tony Parker in the paint way too much (but the guy does it to everyone)
  • Dragic played scared out there
Again, good opening night win. I actually think tomorrow night will be a better litmus. So happy the season is here.

I don't mind Parker and Duncan going for 30+ each. Other than those two- Mason scored 12, Bonner and Finley added 8 each. They made Duncan and Parker make tough shots and limited everybody else. There were very few 2nd chance opportunities for the Spurs. Very good defensive game tonight.

This was an excellent win for Porter's first in Phoenix. The Suns also kept their offense rolling. What I particularly liked was Porter's substitutions to keep the Suns starters fresh to finish the game. The Suns also played under control and focused during the final five minutes or so of the game. Maybe their work on defense is paying off. Even though the Spurs were short-handed I still didn't expect a Suns win tonight. Now if the Suns can win the next two before going on the road, I can exhale.

great win tonight. seemed like a typical Suns-Spurs game, only the Spurs finally missed the last shot. Both teams seemed to be in mid-season form. Very interested to see how we respond on the back to back against NO tomorrow.

Tomorrow's going to be a killer game. I only hope the fans don't sit around like wet noodles at UAC. They're going to need them.
