An absolute steal. Blows my mind how many teams prioritize measurements over results. If he had preformed exactly the same but was 1 1/2 inches taller he probably would have gotten like a 50 mil 3 year deal.

Isn't that the truth.

Glad that Bordow has mentioned Williams contract and confirmed it's non-guaranteed. I know that's been something that has been up for debate for a little while.

I know there are rules against reacquiring a player but I wonder if they waive him, will they be able to resign him later this summer? Once they chase after bigger targets they may look to resign him on the cheap, if he's still available. I think his injury will hurt his prospects this summer so I wouldn't be surprised if he's still available in late July.

I think Bordow is pointing out some players jobs on the Suns roster may be in jeopardy including Ulis.
Maybe the Suns are already preparing for free agency? Clearing cap space?

I think this is exactly what Bordow is doing, preparing fans for this possibility.

That non-guaranteed contract might be an enticing trade piece in a trade. Obviously it'd be coveted by a team looking to dump salary to get under luxury tax, but it might be useful just to make salaries work without extra burden on another team.

Absolutely.

Anyone know if LeBron could be traded? He is still technically under contract. He is not a free agent unless he opts out. So it seems to me that he could be traded.

Williams can be waived and resigned for the minimum.

I expect the Suns to pursue Aaron Gordon and another so they will need to renounce Len, Williams and Payton. Chandler and Dudley could be waived and stretched.

Waiving Ulis does not accomplish much at all.

I wasn't sure about this. It would be great news.

Waiving all of the non-guaranteed contracts and stretching Chandler gives us 25m, which should be enough for a max offer for Gordon.

Hopefully we don't have to offer the max and we can unload Warren and Chriss/Bender along with Chandler/Dudley in a sign and trade.

I think it'd be worthwhile to keep one of Chandler / Dudley (preferably Tyson). Otherwise basically the entire team is under 27/28.

Are you suggesting a 3 year guaranteed deal was on the table? I somehow don't think he had that option when he signed.

Yes, it was originally on the table when he signed the non-guaranteed deal. His agent pushed for him to sign the guaranteed deal but Big Sauce said nope, I can make more after I play another year....
