Suns sign Dermarr Johnson

Dermarr has potential to be a great addition. Bench scoring was such a problem last season, that it is nice to see a second unit starting to develop.

Do you think Joe Johnson will start? Have the coaches or management indicated this somewhere? I haven't been able to find anything on who will start at the shooting guard position. Personally I think Hardaway should start. He's much better starting thing coming off the bench. I believe it probably has something to do with staying warmed up.

Just guessing really. Hardaway would be a fantastic sixth man if he would ever adapt to the role.

I believe Johnson was a UFA and his contract is not guaranteed.


It will be interesting to see what he has in training camp. If he shows the skills he was drafted for they may have to make room on the roster for him.

Hey, if this guy can do between the legs jams, he obviously hasn't lost much on account of his injury. I remember him having a lot of potential when he first came into the league as a Hawk. I also remember him talking some trash on Michael Jordan when MJ was solidifying his plans for a comeback, and when Jordan was asked about it, he was like, "Who? I don't know who this kid thinks he is, but I can't wait to play him."

Anyway though, is this guy our most athletic player? You'd think with Amare and Shawn, it'd be hard to get somebody more athletic, but judging from the pictures I've seen, he just might be. And that has to get you at least somewhat intrigued. I wish we had more than 0 games televised during the preseason, so we could see the Suns before November comes.

If only we were playing the Cavs.....
