Why though? PJ was a + last year and I can see him/Chandler scaring the hell out of teams.

If it's because of his DUI, I expect Keef to get moved to finish this purge of "troubled" players. I prefer to keep both but trust McD to get value.

Only because the Suns need a PF more than a SF. However, if Markieff has soured, maybe he can help land another PF. I'm not even thinking about the DUI factor with Tucker.

Can't wait for signings tomorrow. It will almost be like letter of intent day in college football.

Bogdanovic is coming? Since when?

Good grief. He is a wing. He plays the 2 or 3. He adds depth where it was needed. He also brings veteran leadership. Its hard to get a player with team leadership experience who is either not so old that he can no longer contribute, or so expensive that he is out of budget.

Its only a 1 year commitment and they have to fill out the roster anyway. Can't see a downside here.

What do you mean team leadership experience? Are you assuming that because he's old? In that I guess Gerald Green must have team leadership experience as well since he's old and played multiple seasons for multiple teams in the league.

Its not a move that's gonna kill us but would rather them use the money for more depth in the front court rather than the backcourt.

Totally agree, bottom line is that he is the replacement for Green.

I thought that's what Booker was drafted for but I guess the Suns way of doing things is to hardly play a rookie until his 2nd year if lucky but most of the time 3rd or 4th.

They drafted an 18 year old, its EVERY TEAM'S way to not count on playing those guys much in their first year. But I wouldn't want facts to get in the way of one of your trollish rants.

Booker is only 18, you really can't expect much from him in his first year.

I have a hunch this guy is going to turn into a fan favorite.

He'll need a good nickname.

The Weemer?

Weemie?

The Weemster?

Wejustdunkedonyourass?

Help me out here, I am grasping for straws.

Weems is basically Gerald Green with better ball handling.

Booker is 18. And Weems will probably play some SF once Tucker gets (hopefully?) gets traded.

Yup. It's asking too much for an 18 year old to contribute, however, I hope he flashes some talent now and then.

No, it is not the Suns that do that. It was that horrible MDA that started this crap. He had all those late draft choices, because we were winning too many games, and he never played them. That is when Sarver would allow the extra expense of a rookie contract and not sell it to the highest bidder. Why MDA never played the great Strawberry was frustrating. How many all star games did that guy make. Oh wait...............

Hornacek has taken that concept to a new level.

Your are correct, this is not new.

I don't know why we would get rid of Tucker. I don't mind trading him if it gets us something we want, but there is no particular desire to move him.

Are you talking about D.J. Strawberry. He never had much of a career or a demand for him in the NBA. He has carved out a career in Europe. I don't know how you can put this on D'Antoni.

Why the desire to get rid of Tucker?

I don't think most Suns fans want to get rid of Tucker per se. The only reason his name comes up is because he would give the Suns more salary to sign another PF.

I don't want to pat myself on the back too hard but I was the only one right about Weems in this thread lol. Pointless signing from the start.
