Refs were bad, BUT. Duncan was great, Nash was off and the suns just didn't play their best game tonight. I agree that the refs were awful, but they didn't decide the game for us.

ya youre right, screw dantoni for only playing amare 19 minutes:trout:

Before I say anything, understand that I'm a Suns fan... However, it still cracks me up to see other Suns fans whine and cry about the refs after each loss... The reality is, as it has been for the last 4 years - is that the Suns are simply not built for post-season success. They can't sustain a high level of team defense in a game or in a clutch series, and they can't execute in the half-court during the post season...
Oh sure, at points in a game they'll run a half court play and trick us into thinking they can actually do it whenever they want. And at times, Marion or Bell will make a defensive play and suddenly, we believe that when it matters, the Suns are actually capable of getting "the" stop...
But no...
We don't have any answer whatsoever for Duncan. He OWNS the Suns...
Our only hope is that we Nash & Amare can score and run the offense well enough to off-set Duncan's dominance on the other end...
I honestly would be shocked if the Suns were to win Monday night...

I wouldn't be shocked at all. The NBA is different in the playoffs but ref crews vary from game to game. Certainly I think the next game will favor the Suns more. But point conceded if the Spurs come out and throw around the softer Suns then game over/series over. and you can be sure that some people will not be back. 3 years is enough time to get something done.

then you should buy some depends because come Monday, you will have soiled yourself.

this team is winning Game 4.

and we can run a half-court set if the Amare weren't given ridiculous foul calls that Duncan would NEVER and wasn't called for. And this is coming from someone who bangs on the ref-haters EVERY GAME. The officiating was as atrocious as our layups. I don't expect both of them to be that way Monday night which = Suns win.

this was a Dynasty's last gasp. The beginning of the end starts Monday.

2 of the fouls called on amare were just jokes, nash was getting hacked the whole game, PLUS we didnt play that good.

The suns didnt play good, but the refs were horrible.

You're missing the whole point. The Suns are not a physical team. They want to score, not brawl in the half court. For you to make these assertions you must have not seen much of the flimsy calls in these games, now have you?

The Spurs ARE a dirty team. You can call an obvious flagrant foul on Duncan and he'll still have that look of a bewildered adolescent child on his face. Robert Horry, for all that he's cracked up to be, is another snake on the hard wood floor when he intentionally drags Amare down in the first half so as to stick STAT with another quick foul.

Sorry, but I can't relate to your comments.

I'm not guaranteeing any victories, but I agree that we won't be as bad missing layups after layups. Let's hope refs don't decide game 4 like they did this one.

Was this game a bad night for the refs? Yup... But please, any of the whiners, can you seriously tell me when you actually felt that a post-season loss was not a bad night for the refs?? Gimme a break...
I suppose Nash might have actually showed up instead of trying to make his butt-buddy Dirk look like the legit MVP, if only the refs were better? I suppose the Suns would have found the way to finally stop Duncan, if the only the refs were better??

And there were 2 VERY CLEAR fouls on Duncan that were not called along with several others not so obvious, the offensive one knocking Nash down and hack on Nash on a layup.

Yes, because Duncan would have been on the bench with 5 fouls most of the 2nd half. Were you even watching???? Do you understand basketball???

ill give you that. nash was clearly in position for that play and it should have been a charge, however i doubt that would have changed the game THAT much. the suns could not answer any one of the spurs runs (or players for that matter)

The Spurs play better half court than the suns because Duncan can stay in the game and play without any fouls being called on him. The Suns have one of the best half court players in the NBA in Amare, but in this game he cold not play because the refs decided to call fouls on him.

Amare should have had some fouls called on him no doubt, but Duncan should have fouled out by the end of the 3rd quarter.

P.S. the Suns also have a pg by the name of Nash that can also play half court, or have you not noticed.

Take your dribble where somebody cares!!

Like I said... you guys are too funny... "Was I watching"?? Uhh... yea... Just like I watched 2 years ago when the Suns were owned by the Spurs (oops, I mean the refs), and just like I watched last year when the Suns were almost upset by some crappy Laker team, and then owned by the Mavs(oops, I meant the refs again...).
The Suns are built for speed and scoring, period... Fun to watch. Produces a ton of W's in the regular season. But Championships are won with defense, and executing in the half court - CONSISTENTLY.

You never know. Not at that time, but that would have been 3 fouls on Duncan before the half and would have taken Duncan out of the game. The game is so dynamic that couple of things here and there can change the flow and outcome of the game.

putting Duncan on the bench with 7 minutes left in 3rd wouldn't have been that big? Your fooling yourself if you think that.

Cheeseball - I already said I'm a Suns fan. I would love to see them win it all! My entire family sit and watch each game and scream & yell on every possession. I guess in your book, being a fan means you can't see reality, huh?

Nash just regained his shooting touch in the 4th and was about to stage a run. Then the refs put a tight stranglehold on us by allowing Bowen to foul Nash without call, till they safeguarded the Spurs to the last 2 min with 10pt lead.

Suns were owned by Spurs two years ago. This is not 2005 anymore and the game was pretty close even with the crapy game by Suns.

The Lakers 3rd win was NOT decided by the refs????? Are you kidding?? Walton's foot was out of bound so the jump ball shouldn't even be valid.

And the Mavs one we all know lost due to 2.5 key player out, not because of refs!!

But go ahead think whatever you like!
