We'd clearly need turk to be the 20, 6 and 6 guy he was a couple seasons ago. If that happens we are talking about 2 rebounds less that Amare.

Childress would make that up. I haven't looked it up but I'm sure childress is a vastly better rebounder than barbosa.
Avg 5.6 rebounds per gm over 4 NBA seasons. 2.2 offensive which is impressive.

Childress is an excellent rebounder for his position and should prove to be the best perimeter defender the Suns have had in a very long time. In his 1st NBA stint most of his scoring came inside but was able to spot up on occasion. If he can knock down open 3s consistently he'd likely deserve a starting spot.

Without a post presence i agree. Just surrounding Nash with versatile jump shooters and asking Lopez to do it all inside isn't gonna cut the mustard in the playoffs.

You've got to like Childress over Barbosa though Cly....thats a no brainer upgrade....even if Childress plays more at the 3.

Excuse me, have I been sleeping for three months? I could have sworn it is only July11th. I get a strong sense that whoever is calling the shots is not done.

Assuming both deals go through, it feels like Childress replaces Barbosa and Turk may end up being a wild card. Hoopshype says he can play 4 posiitons including PG. In any case, I was expecting the Suns to trade J-Rich rather than lose him to fee agency next summer, so I would not be shocked if Hill gets moved to SG and Turk to SF after J-Rich is gone.

By adding two tallish players (possible small forwards), I think Clark is going to D-League this season. It's early days, but I expect Lawal to take over the Amundson role.

Unless the Suns gives some players for picks deals, I think roser slots will be at a premium. IMHO, Dwayne Collins is most likely going to Europe and J-Rich goes in a trade.

FIRST TEAM

Center - Lopez
PF - Warrick
SF - Turk
SG - Hill
PG - Nash

SECOND TEAM (FUNCTIONAL)

Center - Lawal
PF - Frye
SF - Dudley
SG - Childress
PG - Dragic

OTHERS

Jones (unless they pick up another big)
Reynolds (or another project PG)
Clark - D-League

They've surprised me before, but this is what I expect.

Don't the Suns get something back for trading Richardson, or does he just vanish into thin air?

I doubt the Suns make any more moves right now although we desperately need a true center because we only have one.

Lopez/Frye
Turkoglu/Warrick/Lawal
Hill/Dudley/Clark
JRich/Childress
Nash/Dragic

Collins on the inactive list.

Coro is saying that Babby coming into the team is a done deal. I also read today that he would be coming in as team president, not necessarily GM.

Pretty much came to this conclusion with 2 clients from his agency coming to the Suns in such a short time.

He doesn't replace Barbosa. He's a SF, not a SG. Hell, he's taller than Jared Dudley.

JC played both spots off the bench for Atlanta. He can play both. Better yet, he can defend both. His defensive PER #'s were good from both spots.

I agree with the above. This means he replaces Barbosa. Now you will have two guys that can come off the bench and play the 2. They will use Dragic at times and JC the other part of the time.
