Yeah, honestly I was a little bummed that we let him go. I wouldn't have necessarily wanted to depend on him as like our third guard next year. But as a fourth guard option, he would have been quality depth.
I wasn’t bummed one bit…

Cam Payne made this post thanking the Suns org and fans. Classy guy. Still didn't like the salary dump. Glad he's happy and found a nice landing spot in Milwaukee.

Class act. I liked Cam. Don't agree this was a salary dump as much as a need to upgrade the bench and find players they could depend on. You could not depend on Cam. It will be ironic if he wins a title with the Bucks though. I wish him the best.

The problem, as I see it, was relying on Cam Payne to be the backup point guard.

The Suns needed another option at point guard that could play if he were injured, maybe like Goodwin.
