Suns are my Kryptonite!
Layman scored as much as our whole team!
A point guard cannot cure the Suns lack of defense.
If Lillard and McCollum were playing, this would be shaping up to be a 60 point loss. Anyone still think this team is better than last year?

I'd rather have this year with Ayton, than last year without him.If Lillard and McCollum were playing, this would be shaping up to be a 60 point loss. Anyone still think this team is better than last year?
Portland has better scouts.....This is bad. How do Portland's scrubs look like All Stars against us. I mean they have guys with zero draft pedigree just torching us. We can't get meaningful contributions from high draft picks like Bender. I think the losing culture has taken too stong a hold on this franchise and I'm not sure what can be done.
Yes. Once our best player returns. We won't be good but we should be better. Even if we have a horrible season, it won't be as bad as last year. How many wins do you think we would have had last season if every opponent took us seriously (virtually none of them did)? I think, maybe 12 wins or so. This year, it won't take long before they'll again start taking us lightly and we'll turn what should be a legit 20 win team into a 30 game winner or thereabouts.
Yes.

How could it not be, no significant player losses, but we gained Ayton, Ariza, Anderson, and Bridges

A lot of veterans versus a lot of kids. Age matters in this league. There is the occasional exception but even good young players lose out to good experienced players.
I wouldn't exactly call Jake Layman, Jusuf Nurkic and Seth Curry "good experienced players", nor would I call Ryan Anderson, Trevor Ariza and T.J. Warren "kids"...
Layman is younger than Warren and much younger than Ariza...
It'll be alright. Booker just needs to transcendent. It's going to be okay.
