Suns’ Bench Unfazed By New Expectations

In THE ARIZONA REPUBLIC, Doug Haller writes “the suspensions of Amaré Stoudemire and Boris Diaw leave the Suns with rotation issues for tonight's Game 5. A short bench becomes even shorter. The Suns will have no choice at times but to go small. Leandro Barbosa or James Jones likely will replace Stoudemire in the lineup, and the Suns will try to beat the taller Spurs in transition. ‘We're talented enough and we're deep enough to compete with anyone when we're playing right, which is fast and with high energy,’ said Jones, who has six starts in this postseason. ‘If we do that, well be fine.’ ”

Of course if we hit shots we will be fine. THIS SUCKS!!!

They'll hit shots. You got to have a lilttle faith here. I know it's a tough time but with the fans cheering as loud as they are ever going to cheer tonight and the fact that the Spur players are going to be looking over their shoulder the entire time the Suns should be in good shape to get a win.

Also, the refs are going to give the Suns a TON of calls to prevent the game from getting ugly. Just watch.

Every time I've thought the Suns would get some calls because they were due after several games of bad calls, or the home team, I have always been shocked to see just the opposite.

If the game is going out of hand in 4th, I want to see a really hard foul on Parker when he drives or elbow to Duncan's face. I want to see at least one of them get hurt.

If the game gets out of hand, the league has to expect retaliation. It is in their best interests to keep the game close and prevent this thing from getting any uglier. I expect calls to keep it close. I hope.

:suns:There was a time I would have thought this was wrong or dirty, but from this experience we've all learned that in the NBA, dirty is okay.

This is what Raja has been trying to teach us..

I have never before condoned this behavior but that's what NBA wants and rewards so why not go along with what the league wants?

I think us beating them undermanned and going on to win the series would be more of a "beating" than any cheap shot we could take at them.

Agree binkar, but I think parker or duncan should recieve a few very hard fouls in return for the bullsh*# they have been doing to Nash.
