Monty is already coach. That was nice goal but the main goal is to win the championship - nothing else matters

Unless they’re waiting on swelling to go down if CP three needed surgery he would have it by now

This was only a random thought on my part but it might be possible for all three to happen: Paul to appear in the All-Star game, get surgery afterwards and be back for the playoffs.

Yes it’s possible but I would assume that if he could have surgery today and he did it he would do it and could still appear at the All-Star game

We are having a nice discussion but it's all brainstorming.

Another thought that passed through my mind, if the injury is not serious but needs to be surgically repaired, Paul could wait until after the All-Star game to get it done. Of course he would want to be back before the playoffs.

Getting Monty to coach the All-Star game has been a goal of the team.

Monty/Jones need to get their heads out of their asses if they let him play a meaningless exhibition game with a hand that needs surgery.

This would be quite frankly insane to delay the surgery or play him for any reason in the all-star game.

I wouldn't take any of this stuff serious. It's all spontaneous discussion.

Not likely but I guess it's possible that the surgeon isn't available until after the game or maybe they need swelling to go down or something like that?

For me though this could be one of the worst scenarios - it might indicate they think surgery is probably necessary but they've decided to let him play a game or two to see if he can play through the pain.

Yeah no way this happens. Two things. One he could injure it further jeopardizing the playoffs and two there is simply no way they delay surgery for a meaningless All-Star game. None.

Could you imagine the crapstorm the team would be in if they let him play and he is out of the playoffs as well? The media and fanstorm would be earth shattering.

I don't think pain would be the issue, lack of function would be the concern. In the finals I don't think his hand hurt so much as it wasn't doing what he was asking of it... all those times he had the ball slip away from him while dribbling and he'd look at the ball like it played a dirty trick.

Another scenario is that Gambo was wrong, Paul didn't fly to LA for an MRI but to see his family and meet up with his wife before going to the AS game, a game he plans on playing because other than jamming his thumb and it being a bit tender, he is fine.

I will hope for that one.

I am pretty sure they do media availability tomorrow, should answer a lot of our questions.

Yeah, hope all you want but he's our only real point guard and when the infection spreads and sepsis sets in as his internal organs fail we're screwed. Booker will demand a trade shortly after Paul's funeral, Ayton will sign elsewhere and demand we don't match, Javale and Biyombo won't return and Sarver will sell the team to a group led by Sarah Palin. Say hello to the Anchorage Suns.

No doubt our old source of despair is scanning the obituaries right now.

Now all we need to do is square away the hand brace.

No worry. The Suns have Payton. He started 63 games for the Knicks last season.

You just made me realize I’ve let myself fall into 1Suns’ atmosphere with my worrying.

Stepping back from the ledge now...

Yeah but there's a difference though, you don't manipulate the facts to drive your story.

I love this team but I also feel a sense of impending doom trying to creep into my conscious mind. I fight it, I figure if it goes south there will be plenty of time to be miserable.

This team at times has felt like the most snake bitten team in the NBA. One of the most winning franchises in all of sports without a title. I think that buys Suns fans a little skepticism that things will land in our favor.

While Suns fans want Chris Paul fully healthy, as I suspected, he really wants to play in the All-Star game.

It would be nice to hear more about his injured hand.

It goes with being a Suns fan and it will never go away until Suns players hoist that LOB trophy.
