Is anyone else worried about the Suns turning the light switch back on when the playoffs start? I think they are just going to coast until the playoffs start. I am happy they can rest players now but ramping it back up might be a little hard. It's a thought that keeps festering in the back of my mind. Me worry?

I guess it's the kind of thing that might hurt us in the first game but I think it should be more than offset by having well rested and healthy players so I'm good with it.

Lol… no. I was on Twitter for like the first time in years, wrote one “delete your account” tweet on a thread where it looked like he was wrong again. He got proved right, someone else called me out and I responded that I was happy to be wrong and that was it.
You should start a cheese-flex Twitter war. Make sure it’s stupid.

And by not in the slightest I feel you don't get an .800 win percentage and really worry about a series until you see yourself lose two games.

Whatever they are doing is working

Nah, the Suns don't have an on/off switch.

Mostly I think Monty cuts back the minutes of the starters and gives Booker, Paul or other starter a game or two off to be fresh for the playoffs.

No. I'm not worried about it at all. If anything they have shown they can flip the switch whenever they want to all year long.

You can make a legit argument for the Bucks and maybe the warriors if they were 100%, but personally I don't think Klay will ever be the same again.

With that said give me the Suns with Cam Johnson at the 4. That lineup is the best starting 5 in the league, even if talent wise it isn't - I actually think it is, but in terms of working as a team nobody is better.

You can also say our bench from 6-15 is the best in the league as well. Put together the best bench and the best starting lineup and what do you get? The best record in the NBA. Funny how that works.

Question. I think the Suns are obviously going to try and beat the franchise win record. Is everybody OK with them playing normal minutes to get there until they beat the record?

I highly doubt they will really roll back playing time or games played hardly at all until there is like 2-3 games left in the season. I am okay with that too because we need to make sure we are clicking on all cylinders entering the playoffs.

They’ve still got what… 9 games left? My guess is they still go normal routine for the next 5 or 6 games to try and reestablish great rhythm with Paul in the starting lineup and get their bench rotations set for the playoffs.

Don’t forget, we’re also gonna get almost a week off between the regular season and playoffs because of the play-in tournament. Don’t want these guys to get too lax with time off going into the playoffs.

Yes. They’re humming right now. Don’t disrupt that rhythm. Scale back a few minutes here and there and maybe rest last 2-3 games a bit. But play-in now provides some rest for higher seeds. Don’t want too much rust imo.

I'd like to see some restrictions applied. Like don't let anyone hit or exceed 40 minutes. There's no point in going that hard.

We only have 1 back to back left also, April 5th and 6th. We'll play the Lakers here and then the Clippers in LA. I'd say we should rest some people then but we could hurt their standings for their play-in tournament by playing and going for the win. You don't want to give a win to a team you might see in the first round either.

The only game where I feel safe saying they will rest people is the final game of the season vs Sacramento here in Phoenix. The Kings are terrible and our bench could beat them so no use playing the starters unless they let them all start and take them out slowly to get some love from the hometown fans throughout the 1st quarter.

We have remaining games against the Sixers, at the Warriors, at Grizzlies, at Thunder, vs Lakers, at Clippers, at Utah, and vs the Kings. I wouldn't be surprised if we rest some for the OKC game also since there's no chance we'll see them again.

Let them play. They are going to have a week off anyway. Sit them the last game, try to limit their minutes a little bit here and there, but there is no need for the starters to sit for three weeks. If someone is a bit banged up, give them a game off, but if everyone is fine, just play as usual for the most part.

Woah now! I've got tickets to that game, I expect the full gamut of effort!

Just kidding... I have already pitched to the group I have tickets with to make it a double header, go to the Dbacks game at 1pm and then stumble over to the Suns game after. The Suns tip off is still "TBA", for my plot to work I am hoping it is between 4 and 6.

The food at the ballpark is incredible, while my only complaint about the Suns arena is that the food is ass. I suspect the "footprint" of the Footprint Center is too small for vendors to have kitchens, so anything outside the Club level is cooked off site.

Do they still have those incredible tamales at the Backs games? Just wondering if we lost vendors during the pandemic.
