I'm with the school of thought the Suns peaked too early last season, setting a franchise record for wins, and never got their mojo back.

The Suns were like a fine race car running at peak perfection. Once they lost their timing (chemistry), they never got it back.

Yeah, something messed with their chemistry before the playoffs began, although I thought the Pelicans were vastly underrated.

Criticizing Monty is fine but some go overboard with it. Apparently I can't defend Monty though and know how a sports message board works though. It's not solely for criticism. It's also for those of us who thinks Monty is doing the best he can with what he has. We don't need to agree but we also don't need to attack each other on a personal level because we view things differently.
You started out by saying you were laughing at other posters. Pot calling the kettle . . . ?

From Reddit

When Ayton gets 14+ FGA he’s averaging 25/12

When Ayton gets 20+ FGA he’s averaging 30/10

He’s only gotten over 14 FGA 12 times. Keep having run and set screens for CP3 Monty seems like it’s working

Kinda where i'm headed atm. The Spurs tanked hard to get Duncan, we could do that.
Of course as a Suns fan I'm well aware that we could have the worst record and still most likely end up with the 10th pick because the ghost of David Stern is real.

He’s only gonna be back for like a month and a half anyway.

Did you miss the post right ahead of mine? I was mirroring what someone else said. Here, I'll quote it for you...

Laughing at anyone thinking Monty will do anything different, ever. His rotations and minutes aren't going to change one iota, even if the team lost 20 in a row.

And the Suns record?

When he gets more 14+ FGA is 5-7
When he gets 20+ FGA is 0-3

So what point did you want to make?

No point at all he clearly sucks and Monty has all the answers. Right.

No lets feed Ayton, it's worked so well before. Maybe we can get another crack at the #1 pick. Hopefully we don't whiff this time.

As opposed to letting CP3 lead us in minutes played and FGA.

Well on our way to the lottery the way your boy Monty is running this team.

If anyone has a "boy" on the Suns it's you because you rush to Ayton's side whenever anyone here says something that isn't glowing about him. Example? I point out how feeding Ayton doesn't lead to wins and now you want to deflect and back pedal.

I never said it did. I posted stats you are the one who’s running with it.

Have fun.

Nonetheless, you espouse the view that we shouldn’t make personal attacks but started your reply with one. Whether or not someone else did it first doesn’t the change the ironic facts in your post. The whole “two wrongs not making a right, and all.” Just found it funny.

To be fair in those games he’s gotten a lot of shots he hasn’t gotten a lot of help if memory serves. And remember, I am literally the furthest thing from an Ayton apologist.

Paul played in all of the 20+ attempt games and Booker played in 1 of those 3. He may not have had a ton of help but Booker doesn't get much help either yet he somehow leads us to wins. I don't believe feeding Ayton will do anything but inflate his stats. The teams record shows it doesn't lead to wins.

Paul of this year isn’t all much help consistently. And no one here is comparing Ayton to Booker.

Oh Chris Paul played in those games well then that makes it all better. I mean he’s just so good this year

By “help” I meant others actually performing, not just that anyone played.

You’d think that even though the sale isn’t final Sarver would have to be in communication with Ishbia on subsequent moves right? If I’ve agreed to buy the team for set number I’d want say in contracts or assets being moved. That is my hope that Ishbia is already “unofficially” involved. The reports that Sarver can veto trades kinda backs that up.

Cam Payne will not be evaluated for another 2 weeks so no help on the way.
